4 out of 5 eggsSo Far, One of My Favorite Accessories

Pros: I've been eyeing this for a while, and I have to say that so far I'm glad I got it. It works well, I've not had any issues with connectivity, save one (see below). I like the look and feel when attached and closed or when using it to type.

Cons: If you're shelling out the full $100, then I'd say it's not worth it, but for $60 or less, I'd buy it again. There was some minor scratches on the metal backing, but nothing huge. The only connectivity issue I've had is trying to use it while it is connected via USB to charge, but that's rare, so I didn't mark off much for it. What cost it that fifth star was that when you want to use the iPad but not dick it, then you just through the keyboard aside. I really wish that they paid more attention to the thought of somehow stowing away the keyboard when you are using the iPad but not the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I got this with a $20 rebate, so the final cost should have been $40, which would be very reasonable - if not for the fact that I didn't get the product packaging and no UPC code to claim the rebate. I'd still consider $60 a fair price, but it would have been nice to get that $20 back...

3 out of 5 eggsIt is not Apple refurbish....

Pros: It is a Logitech keyboard. No complains about how it feels and type.

Cons: Whoever did the refurbish process should look up to Apple standard. Signs of wear and tear is acceptable, but missing magnet and bent aluminium plate? c'mon. This should have never passed the QC for refurbished product.

Other Thoughts: My sample came with missing magnet and bent alum plate. It doesn't stick to the ipad as strong. Other than that, the keyboard works ok.

4 out of 5 eggsLogitech is awesome but...

Pros: Works perfectly as described
Super thin and light
Matches ipad materials well
Nice touch to the keys
easy to set up
home-key-esc button works well
windows shortcuts like ctrl+c and crtl+v work perfect
The keyboard does work very well and functions as it should. For these reasons it will retain 4 of its eggs.

Cons: Only con I have is that the keyboard was noticeably a refurbished product. Didn't ship in original packaging, but my refurb logitech slim illuminated keyboard and refurb f540 headset both did. The sheet metal backing was also noticeably bent, so much that it wobbled as you typed on it. It flattened out after leaving compressed under some books for a good time. What you get here is just not worth $99.99 in my opinion, and for all that it loses an egg.

Other Thoughts: Logitech would do a good move by pricing these lower but they know if people will cough up $600 for a tablet they will surely cough up $100 for a fancy matching keyboard.

If I had purchased this for myself I would have sent it back for a refund, but thankfully I don't own any of Apple's ridiculously overpriced sheep-ware.

3 out of 5 eggsgood idea but poor quality

Pros: Very light and thin, works as advertised, great battery life

Cons: poorly built, falling apart within days of usage

Other Thoughts: The magnetic hinge started to fall apart within days of buying this unit, maybe this is the reason it was a refurb in the first place. The hinge no longer latches at all, I think there's only a single small piece of magnet even left in it at this point. Luckily I don't travel much with it or rely on this part of it to work as advertised because it certainly doesn't. Works great as an expensive iPad stand and keyboard, but don't rely on the "cover" part of it. My iPad has taken a pretty bad fall due to this already, pick up the unit with the cover closed and it flew off, leaving the cover in my hand and my iPad skittering across the pavement :( Thankfully the iPad lived. The keyboard almost got tossed in the trash after that happened, but now I don't even bother to try and use it as a cover -- as it doesn't stay attached anyway.

5 out of 5 eggsFantistic Keyboard

Pros: Amazing. Simple, light, useful, well built. It is the best solution to having a keyboard/case combo for the iPad I have seen. I also love the fact that when attached and closed on the iPad, it has the same finish as the iPad itself, so it creates a mini-laptop that even rivals the Macbook air. Oh and it works with the new 4th gen iPad too!

Cons: Nothing significant

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: Fits my iPad 2 like a glove. Simplicity in its operation - Once sync'ed up, you just use it whenever you separate the case cover from the iPad 2. The resting angle for the iPad 2 on the keyboard is pretty darn good (and yes, I've tried couple other "keyboard cases"). The metal surface matches the iPad 2 very well. It's sized perfectly, and it weighs almost nothing.

Cons: The price - I got it on a refurbed deal, it's still $60. The metal surface needs protection from scratching - especially on its corners (and I've only had it for a week!)

Other Thoughts: This is a very well thought-out and designed piece of equipment. If they had priced it lower, Logitech would sell this like hot cakes. Once you've had a keyboard like this on your iPad, you'll never want to type on your screen again.l

1 out of 5 eggsNot quite refrubished...

Pros: None, entirely non-functional.

Cons: Product does not stay connected via bluetooth to the ipad. Constantly loses connection, needs to be forgotten, repaired and then loses connection again after 30 seconds.

Magnets seem very weak. Just opening the case separates them. Not at all what I'd seen in other review videos (where they hinges are shaken)

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed in both Newegg and Logitech for letting a refurb go through still defective. Both are usually great companies, but I guess they need to cut corners somewhere.

Logitech support is 6am-6pm GMT-8...
