I have many different types of mini-USB cable and this is the only one that the device will actually recognize. One of the first things I was asked by Garmin tech support when I last tried to get my GPS unit working was whether I was using a Garmin cable. Cons: Expensive Did you find this review helpful? Cons: You kind of defeat the benefits of a buying a GPS that uses a nice non-proprietary cable if you buy the cable from the GPS manufacturer for 10 times the price. Other Thoughts: Seriously, I have been charging and syncing my Garmin for years with generic USB cables. It works fine.
