Price was good too; got it for $550. Cons: Only thing that cost this bad boy an egg was the drive trays. Pros: After quite a bit of research I have found the X510 is identical to the EX495 Media Smart server. IDENTICAL. It is a rebranded HP media smart server that targets small business. All of the features plug ins are the same. ONLY Difference is that the EX495 comes with a 1.5 TB hard drive and the X510 1TB. Fired it up right out of the box and I was hooked up to my pc in minutes. I got more hard drives on the way so I can load my movies and music. This will also serve as a back up solution for one of my offices as well as backing up important home files. Cons: Not really a con but I would have loved to have a extensive manual. Itunes server built in? Why not have a Zune or an independent music server program. Its microsoft OS isnt it! Other Thoughts: When I got it out and put it on my desk, I could not believe how small it is. After setting it up and putting it through my torturous paces, I got to see how powerful this little guy really is. I saw this on sale a few weeks ago and missed out. All you have to do is watch and get alerts from NEWegg and you will get a second chance to jump on good deal. ( I paid $430 open box - I couldnt tell that it had been opened) Everything was there. I am already planning to do an upgrade to the CPU and RAM in anticipation for the next version of WHS. (Currently called Vail) Did you find this review helpful?
