5 out of 5 eggsGreat entry level server

Pros: Inexpensive, built for 24x7 uptime and reliability, easy to configure. I use these for small office server needs with RAID 0 configuration.

Cons: can't think of any

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Server

Pros: Compact, quiet, nice front cover hinges or removes completely, takes all kinds of RAM, fast.

Cons: As another said, it's got a long boot up time. The post process is like watching a dozen previews at the theater. It's entertaining and informative, but slow. I used the buy the drive trays from that jungle store, but now Newegg carries them. Look for item 9SIA1KT0ER3515

Other Thoughts: We've moved away from building servers from scratch, and going with HP proliant systems. This server is turning out to be the sweet spot between cost and performance. Quad Xeon is perfect for an office of 25 users or less. Add another pair of 4GB memsticks (like N82E16820139262) for a total of 16GB, and it runs Windows SBS 2011 very nice.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent system, but does miss on minor points

Pros: definitely a solid entry level server with good amount of ram and options. I do like the overall layout and the space allocation is done well, with good airflow.
For it's price, it is a good contender for just about all Small businesses. In my case, it is SBS 2011 server, and so far handles itself well.
The 8 GB is on two 4GB sticks, so you have two slots open to upgrade.
CPU speed is enough for Windows, Exchange, and a small SharePoint site for ~15 users.
The RAID is decent performance for a low budget system.

Cons: Just like the other reviewer, it doesn't come with the drive bays, just the plastic blanks in the spot of the drives. Depending on which ones you buy, the drive brackets run 15-40 dollars a piece after shipping and tax, so if you are looking to do a RAID array with 4 drives, you now have another ~$100 or so needed in parts to make it work, and newegg doesn't sell them for some reason.
Also, the RAID does not handle any other options than 1, 0, and 10. Which is ok, but I think RAID5/6 should be in the cost area now a days. (in my case, raid 1 is best for me)

Other Thoughts: While it does say no drives are included, you would think they would at least include them. But alas, I guess they have to cut costs somewhere.

4 out of 5 eggsHP ML110 G7

Pros: - Great Speed
- Plenty of Ram
- Good Build Quality for The Price
- Low Power Consumption.

Cons: - No Hard Drive Trays. NewEgg does not offer these at this time. I purchased them from another online store ( 373211-001 HP TRAY FOR 3.5" SATA/SAS DRIVE ).
- Long bootup time. Not a huge problem.
- No Keyboard or Mouse

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great server. I am using it as a WHS running WHS 2011. It has a ton of ram for that OS and is very quick. I don't think I could ask for anything more in a server. My only frustration was I contacted HP before ordering this and they said it would come with the Hard Drive Trays. But it did not. That is my reason for only 4 eggs. Other than that like I said I think its a great little server.
