4 out of 5 eggsGreat for mobile robots

Pros: I bought this for my mobile robot and it is exactly what I needed. Very tiny, very light, and low power. Plus, it is already designed to be attached to something. Screws were already in the box.

Cons: Not a gamers computer.

2 out of 5 eggsWhere is the sound?

Pros: Compact size, Intel Z510 CPU and G500 graphic chipset are what they use in netbooks and they claim it provide with the full HD hardware acceleration.

Cons: 1. Price. Basically it's a netbook without a screen, HDD, memory and keyboard, but costs the same. Compare to a fully featured netbook and see for yourself.
2. No digital sound output! How does it make a media player? It just does not make sense to have an HD hardware acceleration without digital sound for a media player. Weird.
3. Another thing to check upon is whether there is a Linux driver for the G500 video.

1 out of 5 eggsPoulsbo (Intel GMA 500)

Pros: Small & it would make a crafty little headless server, but...

Cons: Poulsbo (Intel GMA 500). I think that's all I have to say about that. Yes, it's bad...and with Linux, it's AWFUL.

Other Thoughts: I think I made my point. I actually would advise against making a purchase of any product with a Poulsbo (Intel GMA 500) chipset, especially if you are a technical person.

3 out of 5 eggsVGA and 1080p

Pros: This is a very small device ... (obvious) the size itself is a pro.. :-)

Cons: not for media ... wouldn't buy a 300 box for that anyway.

Other Thoughts: The other guy states very generally that VGA wont support 1080p. Not completely true. If you were running a bluray drive with a 1080p movie over this.... then NO it would not. Google that ...

If you are running a 1080p mkv video over VGA ... then YES it will work. I do it all the time. :-) Sometimes there isnt a simple answer.

Again .... this isnt really a box for a media center anyway... it would be a cool little server though ! :-)

1 out of 5 eggsLacks HDMI

Pros: Does 1080p, Small formfactor, fanless design.

Cons: Lacks HDMI. Without HDMI I don't know why you would even consider buying this for 1080p playback.
