love it!
- Pros: the new buttons (compared to DS lite) are much improved, with a very clicky feel as apposed to the squishy ds lite ones. the screens much bigger as is the stylus. the matte is much nicer feeling then the gloss of the lite and the whole unit rests in the hands easier.
- Cons: the D-pad isnt as upraised as the lites which makes it a bit harder to move diagonally with it.
- Other Thoughts: i love it and am very happy i upgraded.
sweet nostalgia
- Pros: I had the original ds, and from the looks of it, everything is improved, everything down to the responsiveness of the touch screen and battery life. the matte finish is beautiful before it gets ruined, and the online store is an interesting add on. The screen is strong.
- Cons: -I sweat A LOT. the matte is no friend to me. I'm sure it's more of a friend than glossy, but it gets pretty gross.
-I scratched the front cover the DSi, and it is noticeable. really noticeable. So noticeable, its the only way i can tell the difference between mine and my bro's DSi. Matte is not friends with scratches. Be careful with yours.
-I used a screen protector, only to realize it's really impossible to take off AND it scratches way easy. I rather just use the regular screen and keep myself from seeing scratches.
-Camera is a gimmick. The online store is the reason you should get this. It's not BIG yet, but hopefully, it will be.
-There are a number of awesome games I'd love to play, but have been discontinued. I'd hate to resort to piracy, so now I either have to cough up the cash, or find someone that I can borrow it from...=[
-I spent over $180 on games already.
- Other Thoughts: The library of games is amazing. Yeah you can't play advance games, but I don't have any. The battery life is apparently shorter than the Lite, but it's better than the original one so I am one not to complain about that. There's something about holding a Nintendo in your hand that send you back to the 90's, the simpler times of gameboy color and one screen.
DSi is fun
- Pros: I'm very happy with my new DSi
- Cons: everything is cool except it won't play mp3s and you can't watch youtube.
