5 out of 5 eggsHAL OEDTION CONSOLE

Pros: this console has so much more than the basic x-box 360, for only like $50 more.

it includes the hdmi cables (those are $40).

you get a headset ($20) some basic ones come with a headset.

and you get the feeling of being a total HALO fan!

Cons: The USB cover door spring comes loose and breaks, that can be fixed with a tiny spring you get from a hardware stoor for only $1 i did it.

Other Thoughts: This is one of those bragging rights things

2 out of 5 eggsThis version is a complete rip off

Pros: None

Cons: This is just a review of the Halo 3 edition. It's amazing that they're selling you a green premium 360, tacking on the Halo name, and somehow that is worth $50. It doesn't even come with the game.

Other Thoughts: Buy a regular premium or the elite, or the arcade, basically any version but this if you want a 360.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!!

Pros: Awesome graphics. Gears of War and Halo 3 are must haves.

Cons: Fans are kinda loud.

Other Thoughts: Hrmm...about the people with overheating consoles. They must have some thick carpets or something to cause less ventilation.

After the first time it breaks down from overheating shouldn't you know the second time around to buy an aftermarket cooler.

The new xbox with hdmi doesn't really need an intercooler. It should be fine.

As for games, I haven't been able to find a game that has comparible graphics to Gears of War. Halo 3 doesn't even come close to it. The graphics in H3 look better than H2, but it still lacks detail due to the scale of there maps. I was disappointed big time. I expected graphics to be better than a PC...I was wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems at all

Pros: Runs great. 3.2GHz 3 core processor. Fast!!! 512MB RAM, and 512 MB GDDR3 GPU. I couldn't even find specs on the PS3 when I was comparo shopping. The 2.4GHz wireless is great too. No more cords. The PS3 wireless controllers use Bluetooth, and I've heard from a few owners that once in a while they lose Bluetooth connectivity. The 360 doesn't have that problem. Mine gets warm, but overall no problems. I make sure to keep it in a well ventilated area. Awesome game titles. Can't wait for Gears of War 2 in Nov. I have the 20GB Pro and have not yet needed the bigger HDD.

Cons: Had a problem with the disc tray not opening up all the way last year, but it fixed itself after a couple of days. No other problems ever!!! Sure some of the accessories are expensive, like $60 for the only wireless headset offered. $99 for wireless networking, but my system is only about 2 feet from my router so this is no big deal to me.

Other Thoughts: Bought a second 360 for my brother-in-law and bought a pair of attachments for the back of them that has two exhaust fans and allows the use of almost any type of A/V connector without having to buy the XBOX specific adapters. Neither one of our systems has faultered at all and he does a lot of online gaming. I don't know how all these people can say they purchased bad units and then traded them in multiple times for bad units. Others complain of the systems overheating and dying. These are just like computers, they need cooling and ventilation. Buy an aftermarket cooler. They have cooling stands and multi-fan attachments for the back of the system that you can buy. And, while I haven't done this yet, if you don't mind voiding the warranty to open up the case, the 360 has standard PC case fans inside it, probably 80mm. You can upgrade those as well to move more air inside the machine.

1 out of 5 eggsSo many bad machines

Pros: Games look fantastic.

Cons: Machines don't work.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 Xbox machines for my nephews for Christmas (A Halo-edition and a Pro). They've been sitting on their shelf since Christmas now. One machine has been exchanged 3 times and still locks up after 5 minutes of play time. The other one has been exchanged twice - it doesn't work either. It takes about a month to get your hands on a replacement - which doesn't actually work any ways.

Microsoft admitted that they are having serious problems with their Xbox. So... shouldn't they recall them until it's fixed. Apparently not. They'll let you sit there with machines that don't work for a month and then give you your monthly replacment that doesn't work either. Then your kids get to sit there for ANOTHER month with a machine that STILL doesn't work for more than 5 minues.

For the most part I like Microsoft, but come on. 3 months of two Xbox 360's not working and I'm still waiting for a replacement for either one! This is ridiculous guys.

2 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Let me first say that I am a huge Xbox fan, and this is the best console out there right now. Although im not much into Halo, the color scheme is incredible. Graphics are wonderful, and ive never encountered any lag.

Cons: Dies. Overheats and dies like a baby with a bad fever. I've heard accounts that say its died in a week. Myself, I had to send it back after about 2-1/2 months. 399 is a hefty price tag for something you have to replace every time it burns up.

5 out of 5 eggsLuvin it!

Pros: I got this for the kids (secretly for me :D) and have played on this for many hours. I haven't encountered one single error or problem. Graffics on my Sony 60" HDTV is good, not as good as my gaming rig but intense for a console.

Cons: Hmm it aint free, wireless network adapter sometimes randomly disconnects, hard to find mathcing accessories for the Halo Green and Gold. Not really cons but nusiances.

Other Thoughts: Have it in a stand, standing on it's end, no heat issue what so ever.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Ummmmm..... not much

Cons: Everything.

The graphics, while HDMI, isnt nearly as good as the PS3, b/c 360 only has an old version of HDMI(1.2)

I have got two of these in a week, and onen had a bad powersupply, the other got the ring of death (general hardware/software failure commonly due to overheating) in 2 days.

Microsoft may make good operating systems, but when it comes to videogames they should just lie down and die.

Other Thoughts: If you want wireless internet, it will cost you another $100, internet gaming costs $50 per year (and i heard its going to go to $80) And compared to other consoles, this is junk. No outstanding features what so ever.

For the money you are gonna spend, get a PS3, at least it has Wifi, good HDMI, free and better internet, and Bluray.
