Awesome if you get one that works
- Pros: Best exclusive game titles out there, great controller, Netflix Streaming!
- Cons: It is still a gamble to buy one. I take off an egg since I played my first system for half an hour right out of the box until the power supply failed, rendering the system useless. I'm very glad I bought through Newegg since they took it right back with free shipping and are working on sending me a brand new one no questions asked. Guaranteed not possible if I were to buy it at a store.
- Other Thoughts: Microsoft has had three years to get some quality control going. A power supply that lasts 20 minutes is not acceptable when you are dropping $300 on a game console.
Sept. Price Drop
- Pros: If anyone is planning to purchase the Elite system it's best to wait a few more weeks. It's been reported online from several retailers there will be a price drop to $299 for these Elite systems.
- Cons: Xbox Live, unlike free PS3 online play, is $50 per yer. No Bluray player. Xbox community is more superb overall from what I gather, don't own a PS3 personally but have plenty of friends who have told me about their online play.
- Other Thoughts: If in fact these price drops occur in the coming months $299 isn't a bad deal for an Elite system with the 120HDD. Sony will be releasing a smaller version of the PS3 shortly which will retail at $299 as well -- looks like the console wars will be heating up this holiday season.

360 Elite
- Pros: The best XBox360 you can get.
Does what it's supposed to.
Now only $300!
- Cons: So the XBox360 is one of the better consoles out there because of the support it gets through the choice of games. What I don't like is how Microsoft wrings every penny out of you as possible. 1. They charge you for XBox Live, which is ok if you play a lot online and they offer fast, helpful support.
2. To get online, you need to connect DIRECTLY to a router because unlike the PS3 and Wii, this system does not have Wi-Fi or wireless. The accessory to connect wirelessly can cost near $100 (which is a lot for something that can only be used for a 360 to connect wirelessly.) 3. You need to buy a separate HDMI cable for the improved graphics because it no longer comes with the package (about $80.)
Other than that, the system runs pretty loudly when running a game. Microsoft told me this is normal because of how high-end their system is and how it needs to be cooled, and be able to run at such high graphics.
- Other Thoughts: I enjoy the 360 because of all the good games out there. It is a system you can enjoy, but be prepared to dish out a few hundred to to get set up for optimum playing abilities.
Would be a 5/5 if Microsoft didn't charge you an obscene amount of money for everything. Plus they are no longer allowing 3rd party hard drive space to be used for your gaming account.
360+hdmi= best game exp
- Pros: Hooked it up to hdmi, what a great pic and the sound is totally different from the regular cable.
- Cons: Had difficulty to plug in the power cable inside the 360. Few broken peaces came out but at the end i stuck that thing in.
- Other Thoughts: Dont buy 360 with out hdmi it useless you wont see the full potentials of 360 elite
Looove(d) it
- Pros: Looks great, system link was a blast, large hard drive.
- Cons: Don't stand the XBox on its side like in the picture on the box. This will screw your disks up. And I wouldn't mind it if it came with rechargeable batteries. I guess Microsoft has to make their money somehow :-)
Also, don't take your eye off it for a second... mine was stolen out of my house the first week I had it.
