5 out of 5 eggsExcellent System!

Pros: Bought mine from Newegg last November and it is a confirmed Jasper model.
Standard 120 GB HD.
Awesome Black Friday deal gave you a $50 gift card.
HDMI out.
2 Free Games to start off.
Robust, well-built.

Cons: The DVD drive is easily the loudest thing on the console. NONE of the other components make any audible sound (i.e. cooling devices).
No HDMI cable is included, Only standard analog RCA composite (Video, Left and Right audio).
Can't install any alternate Operating Systems w/o hardware modification.

Other Thoughts: No idea why people who don't own this particular version are posing bad reviews on this Xbox's page but, this version has the latest updates to remedy previous problems with RRoD. I had it lock up on me once during the burn-in phase (first 200 hours of use) but its been flawless ever since.

Xbox live gold memberships for 12 months can be had for $30 or so and the networking quality is superior to PS3's freebie system (both have pros and cons).

I have a 24” monitor that accepts DVI inputs so all I had to do is buy a cheap HDMI to DVI cable. After doing some research, I found out you could pop off the plastic surrounding the RCA Composite cable (the end that plugs into the system) and use the sound from there while having the HDMI cable in at the same time for Hi-def video. Works like a charm.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Xbox

Pros: Awesome Xbox gaming system!
Is much more enjoyable than PS3 (online wise)...
Party Chats w/ buddies, great online community and games as well.

Cons: wished there were more titles like PS3 such as:
rpg games and metal gear
(there is a metal gear coming to xbox but it is not the same as the PS versions)

Other Thoughts: Great xbox for online multiplayer
browsing netflix
keeping touch w/ buddies

5 out of 5 eggsGreat system, Great media center

Pros: This system is the cream of the crop. It's just an amazing blend of gaming, online capabilities, and media center. The graphics are just great, and the ease of use is great. It's a breeze navigating through the menu's and your avatar is kinda cool to have. Microsoft i think is the leader in online playability, it's seamless, and so easy to get online and play games or just chat with other people. The only bad part is paying for it, but it's worth it in my opinion. And as far as the Media Center, WOW, connect your 360 with your computer through a router and stream all your movies and music on your 360. It looks and acts just like Media Center on Windows.

Cons: A little loud. Compared to the PS3, this system is loud, especially the DVD drive, but i just install the game to the hard drive and that problem is solved, so not worth taking an egg away

Other Thoughts: I have always been a die-hard XBox fan, but broke down recently and bought a PS3. Graphics are pretty much the same on both systems. 360 has a much better controller and better online network.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy So far

Pros: Large Storage on Hard Drive. Pure is a decent game for being made by Disney. Lego Batman in ok, but I'm not into lego really. Otherwise the console seems to be great.

Cons: Well the one thing to look out for is the RRoD (RED RING OF DEATH). This means 3 red lights appear on the ring and your Xbox is junk and need to go back to Microsoft for free. The down Side is this can only happen once and Microsoft can be a great pain to work with. Xbox is a good mid range console, Wii is lowest graphicly and PS3 is Highest.

Other Thoughts: The online friends for Xbox is awesome with party chat and private webcam chatting you can have a blast talking and chatting to friends while playing a game. Some of the games offered for Xbox are pretty cool Halo and Forza Motorsport being 2 of the Console Games. overall great buy and you cannot go wrong for 300 bucks

3 out of 5 eggsXbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle with 2 games and $50 promo card

Pros: Xbox is awesome and the games are very fun to play.

Cons: The only con I had was with the handling of the $50 promo card. Apparently, Newegg decided to hold the promo cards for 30 days until the return period ends so people don't return the product and keep the card (which I understand... scammers suck!). However, this was not stated clearly to me. I'm used to getting something right away when it's paid in full, and found this highly annoying and Newegg's service was not that great this time around!

5 out of 5 eggs360 elite bundle

Pros: beautiful graphics, nice black design repels visual wear-and-tear. This system is rock solid and fun!

Cons: Not one in sight.

Other Thoughts: Admittedly this one was bought on impulse. I always hated Xbox, but I never really knew WHY I did - so I decided to prove to myself why. Turns out this is about the most awesome game system I have owned. In my opinion, this leaves PS3 in the dust with ease of use, online play, and even graphics on a good amount of games. (I use a nice HD lcd widescreen monitor with HDMI. games look beautiful.) The controllers were easy to get accustomed to, and the internet was a breeze to set up... mostly because it did everything by itself. Good work, Microsoft. First time I've... ever said that.

4 out of 5 eggsGot what I expected

Pros: It's an Xbox

Cons: It's an Xbox

Other Thoughts: I went into this purchase for my children. It's not like the Xbox is new to the market and I went in with a full understanding of the Pros & Cons (arrggh, Live). As a devoted FPS PC Gamer, control pads annoy me and paying to pay online does as well. But I certainly got nothing more or less than expected. Was waiting for a spring games bundle (cause these titles didn't impress me) but apparently the seasons have shifted due to global warming. Oh, the controller Newegg threw in earned this an extra egg.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat gaming console, needs wifi

Pros: Fast, beautiful graphics. HDMI output.

Cons: Typical Microsoft gotchas: no built-in Wireless, can't use USB to save off game/profile data, doesn't play game sound through controller.
It's all about making the consumer buy the accessories.
If MS had made this state-of-the-art console with built-in wifi then it would have been 5 eggs.
Instead I had to bridge the my wireless and ethernet connections on my laptop and run the ethernet cable from my laptop to a hub and then another to my xbox.

No browser.
OK, so I'll never ever browse the internet on a gaming console, but come on! Even the Wii has a browser and wifi!!

Other Thoughts: Was typically a playstation or PC gamer prior to getting this system for Christmas.
Overall I'm extremely happy and have jumped on the LIVE bandwagon so I can play with my friends.
If I hadn't received this as a gift I would have gone with the PS3 to be honest.
