PSP 'Slim' Version 2000 (New version)
- Pros: This unit has a brighter screen, with 3 brightness levels, all very visible except in direct sunlight. Very watchable with videos and games, AND you can hook it up to watch movies with a composite cable on a TV, or games on a HDTV with a component video (Not included, all custom cables by sony.). The battery life is actually worse than the original, but it's a lower power battery. IF you buy the higher-end battery, or use the larger original battery, the PSP will last much longer. (The original PSP battery makes it need a different batt door.). The system boots UMD's much faster (On certain games). The newest firmware release offers internet radio, skype phone calls (with PSP headset AND stereo radio remote for PSP 2000). Only the newer Slims can use Skype. There's internet available, but it's slow, difficult to use, and is more of a cutesy feature. Don't expect to use it for regular use. It's rather limited.
- Cons: A Lack of quality games. There are great games for the system, Daxter, final fantasies, Jeanne D'Arc, Socom, etc. However, if you aren't familiar with a game go to www.gamespot.com to look up some reviews. The early games were rather bad, but load times with the new UMD catching feature really helps to speed up load times. The games that the PSP does well, it tends to do EXTREMELY well.
- Other Thoughts: A nice little multimedia device, and game system. Movies on the go, great memstick support, this is a very nice system. Feels a little more breakable than the original, and it is, being made completely of plastic now, but it's more efficent as well. I'd recommend this to any older teen to adult, but not for small children.
ITs ok
- Pros: -ITs a psp lite
-more built in memory -in my opinion less delay >_> -I like the white color, finger prints don't show up as much
- Cons: -flimsy batt cover...well it is a psp lite
- no tv cord
- Other Thoughts: it needs more..than a darth vader head on the back

No dead pixels...
- Pros: PSP Slim with video out support, beautiful screen and significantly thinner than the original.
- Cons: Didn't come with a wriststrap...
- Other Thoughts: I had the original with 7 dead pixels. I traded that model in when Sony confirmed the PSP-2000 and would come with an LCD screen manufactured by a different company. I held off even longer when they were coming out with a Star Wars Special Edition with my boy Darth Vader. Totally happy with my purchase.

Cool
- Pros: Easy to use-nice screen - able to modify Custom firmware using pandoras battery tutorial. game selection is okay and improving.
Changeable themes and able to connect to TV with AV cord
- Cons: Poor battery life, and unable to use older phat battery for additional power. however after the Pandora Battery mod can use power cord without battery plugged in.
- Other Thoughts: Homebrew applications are where its at if this wasnt so easy to modify I would not have purchased it. Just love homebrew applications and emulator software as well great device for this sort of stuff!
