Cons: They sent a PS2 power cord with it which if this had been an original style PS3 that wouldn't have been a problem, but I bought a slim PS3 and the power cords are different. Cons: I have purchased refurbs in the past for many things but usually at a more substantial discount. You always take a chance on repaired/rebuilt equipment. Folks pay the extra 50 bucks for the NEW version. IF you get a DOA you will be spending that amount to send it back as well as all the time and annoyance. Other Thoughts: If you were saving 100 bucks on the price I would say go for it but honestly for 50 bucks? Just buy the new one or if you still want to go refurb check out a local retailer. At least you can make them prove it works before buying and if it fails you can return it alot easier. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? System will not come back on untill it sits for a while. My guess is the CPU is overheating due to a improperly installed or missing heatsink. The system and components were in a large box wrapped in a single layer of "bubble wrap" - no padding, nothing to hold it in place. PS3 probably bounced all around in the box during shipping, which I'm sure helped immensely.
