Is this Backward Compatible with PS2?

its only bc if it has 4 usb ports regaurdless of the model number all 4 port ps3's are backwards compatable your best bet is to try to get the 60gb model some do thje backwards compatable with soiftware whiuch is pretty horrible the 60gb mopdel does it via hardware is basically has the hardware of a ps2 and ps3 inside

How can I tell if its a 160gb?

Go into the 'Settings' on the PS3 Menu, then into 'System Settings'. Then scroll all the way down to the near bottom of that sub menu to 'System Information'. Enter it and you will see info like what version your ps3 is. IP address for internet, and how much space you have on your hard drive.Enter an answer to this question.
