5 out of 5 eggsDecent Value

Pros: Great Value, Car AC Adapter, External Speaker & Mic Jacks.

Cons: Limited Range, even with extenal atenna. Speaker distorts at full volume.

Other Thoughts: I bought this handheld CB to replace another Handheld that originally cost nearly triple the price. The range on the Midland is far less, even with an external atenna, than the old handheld. Unit is very light and the internal speaker distorts a bit when turned up all the way. But for less than $40 and an external atenna you can get a decent handheld CB.

5 out of 5 eggsBreaker-breaker!

Pros: Great backup unit to have when the truck CB doesn't work. Range is short but does what I need it to do.

Cons: Short range with supplied antenna. You can get a longer range with a metal antenna from Radio Shack.

4 out of 5 eggsNice raido

Pros: Radio is very light. Decent volume level. So far no issues and have been able to pick up truckers on the highway. Car adapter is nice!

Cons: Needs 9 AA batteries if not using the car adapter. The display that shows the channel turns off when you adjust the squelch to the proper level. However, according to the manual this is supposed to happen, although it is a bit odd in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: This raido has the ability to charge batteries inside it, although I have not tried this ability yet. This may be useful to some users who will use this radio with the 9AA batteries. Also, range is a bit short while in the car. You might want to consider an external antenna for longer ranges.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: Small and lightweight

Cons: Uses 9 AA batteries. They forgot to put that in the description. NINE AA batteries!!!

Other Thoughts: Make a frigging battery pack that is rechargable
