1 out of 5 eggsPoor audio recording

Pros: None

Cons: I bought this and it does a very poor job of recording. I didn't like it all and wish I could get a refund or never bought this thing.

Other Thoughts: The microphone is very wide, it should be smaller.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality

Pros: Much more lifelike recording than most OEM recorder mics.
Incredibly sensitive.

Cons: not much. The noise floor is higher when using mine on the high gain setting. I think the hiss is primarily due to the recorder though and not the mic.

Other Thoughts: Owned this for 3 years. Connected to a Olympus DS-2.

For the previous reviewer - this is a stereo mic, if you record in stereo, two different sounds are going to be on each channel. That is the point.

1 out of 5 eggsLow Quality + High Price = Bad!

Pros: - It can clip to your shirt.

Cons: - The left and right sides of the microphone are separated, so you will almost always get an uneven stereo recording.
- The recording quality is incredibly low, playback is all muffled no matter how clear you try and talk.
- The supposed 'LCD' indicators don't work at all. In fact nothing lights up at all.
- Insanely high price point. You can get a Microsoft headset with microphone for $25 that sounds much more clear.
- Mono microphones sound better.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to do professional recordings of some people for voice-overs in a video, since I heard some good things about it. I'm also a believer of "you get what you pay for" -- that's not the case with this microphone. The quality of the output was just so bad and unclear. I wasted my money -- Newegg refused to refund the product, only replace it. Don't waste your money on this garbage -- buy a Microsoft or Logitech mic instead; they know what they're doing.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Perfect.

Pros: Sensitive and clean output.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: You need a stereo microphone input on your computer to work best.
