Record for over 22 days with the WS-500M digital voice recorder from Olympus. In LP mode it can hold 544 hours and 55 minutes of recording in its 2GB of memory. In extra high quality (Stereo XQ) mode you can record up to 34 hours and 50 minutes for when you want to catch every nuance of the conversation. When you’re done, just plug it into your PC’s USB port and transfer the files over.

The Advanced file management lets you record up to 200 files in each of 5 folders. The large backlight LCD screen makes managing your recordings easy and convenient.

Pics up audio even when concealed under a shirt or great for recording phone conversations with pain in the *** x wives. Other Thoughts: I've only used my voice recorder a few times, to record some family members and as a music player. I've possibly used it more as a music player and it works well in that regard, though if I had to do it again I might purchase a music player that also did voice recording, not the other way around. I use this to surreptitiously record discipline meetings (union representative!). I added an external lapel-microphone that dangles from my bag on the floor. It picks up EVERYTHING in the room! The sensitivity and quality are the best I've ever experienced. Cons: NONE!!! Works seamlessly on Mac OS X. Does everything I wanted it for and then more. Excellent product at a very good price...with this recorder you get features and quality you would only expect from a much higher-priced recorder. Cons: An on-off button would be nice (instead of the "hold" slider to turn the recorder off). A more intuitive and prettier user interface would help a lot of people. Other Thoughts: Get the firmware update from Olympus's website--it will allow you to record in both 128 and 256 kbps mp3 formats instead of simply .wma format, which is especially helpful for Mac users who don't want to have to convert .wma files. 11 out of 11 people found this review helpful.
