1 out of 5 eggsReally Boring

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I feel bad rating this 1 star since, the game isn't broken, it works just fine. But rating it as the game itself (even as a halo fanboy) it's boring as hell. I mean wow..

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Just bought the game w/ the system I bought a few weeks ago...I know some people didn't, but I've enjoyed ALL of the Halo games that have been released.
The fact that the storyline doesn't follow Master Chief, was actually a nice change of pace, I thought it was a good one.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsA Surprise

Pros: Halo... with a quality singleplayer experience akin to Halo Combat Evolved!?
The game has a lot more depth to it during campaign versus Halo 2, and 3. It feels a lot less like a rushed movie.
The second disc has ALL of the Halo 3 Multiplayer Content. Just pretend it says HALO 3 MULTIPLAYER ULTIMATE EDITION on the disc.
Firefight feels very different from Reach. It's worth owning ODST and Reach Firefight if you're a huge fan of the mode.

Cons: A shame that ODST Firefight cannot be customized ala Halo Reach's. Though it is still fun, but feels very different from Reach due to being a weaker Human in ODST.

Other Thoughts: The game really surprised me. I got the impression from marketing that it was another short Campaign experience like Halo 2 and 3. But not only does it feel longer ala Halo CE, it's very different from all the other games.

Be warned, it is a slower game than the previous Halo's because of your protagonist being a human in much weaker armor, and lacking an energy shield. But if you don't mind playing more stealthy and tactically, it's a joy to play.

2 out of 5 eggsnot worthy of the Halo title

Pros: came with the Halo Reach beta, and all the Maps for Halo 3

Cons: this was a subpar game, with a horrible story, and a lacking multiplayer that would constantly drop players on LIVE, making it impossible to get any of the Firefight achievements.

Even if you're a fan of the Halo story, this is not worth your time, because you can get this information in a much more enjoyable format through the books.

Other Thoughts: Halo Reach Beta was horrible, and in hindsight, not worth the price for ODST

5 out of 5 eggsGood Game, Good Price

Pros: It's a great game and worth the money if you like the Halo series.

As always, Newegg got it here fast, intact and cheaply.

Cons: The game is generally Halo though they tried to mask it with the ODST characters. It is basically a new storyline with a redesigned HUD, it's generally the same as the others though.

The free shipping at the time was the egg saver, so it took a while to get here.

Other Thoughts: Good deal if you want to get a new copy cheaper than gamestop or somewhere else, but it wouldn't be worth it if the shipping wasn't free, and if you want the game that bad, go pick it up locally.

As always, great job Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat game, good story

Pros: -Fun maps in multiplayer
-I'm much better at this game than in halo 2 or 3
-Good story(see cons)
-Assist is really helpful

Cons: -You're in the dark most of the game
-In the story, it seems like you are staying in the same city most of the game, maybe leaving a couple of times for short periods

Other Thoughts: Overall, I love the game and was almost getting bored of continously replaying halo 2 and 3

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: firefight is awesome.. campaign could be longer but the campaign for halo 3 was pretty short too..

Cons: hate the fact that i wasted money on all the map packs for halo 3 only to get all of them in this game.. microsoft and bunjie sure knows how to make money off us loyal halo fans..

4 out of 5 eggsGood campaign

Pros: I am not a huge multiplayer fan for Halo. For any of them, for that matter. HOWEVER. I do find the storyline to be gripping, and almost addictive. Always striving to find out what happens next. It is plenty challenging, but rather short. Firefight is a great new way to experience Halo, and I've had a lot of fun on it.

Cons: Multiplayer. I dislike the Halo multiplayer community more than I can express in words. Bungie has made numerous weapons that can dominate the playing field, and when being used on you, makes the game get old real fast. (i.e.- gravity hammer, energy sword, shotgun, dual maulers, etc.)

Other Thoughts: I think Halo 3: ODST is worth buying if you're into campaign modes and gaming with your friends, but if you're gonna fly solo on xbox live, i'd say to keep away. maybe rent it, and if you dig it, go ahead and buy. Great firefight mode and campaign. plus a free Halo: Reach beta? I think yes.
