5 out of 5 eggsJust what you expect!

Pros: Solid build, quality cable (no ghosting), made by Microsoft.

Cons: Fairly expensive, compared to other cables. But you're paying that price to avoid issues like ghosting.

Other Thoughts: This cable does exactly what you want it to do. I wanted my Xbox on a computer monitor, and so RCA wasn't an option. This does the trick, and works great at 1080p!

5 out of 5 eggsExactly as expected

Pros: No malfunctions that the cheaper alternatives have. Looks so clear on my monitor that I can tell the difference between an actual Xbox 360 game and PC game(obviously 360 being less AA, etc.)
Sturdy cabling and long enough to reach my monitor that is about 5 feet away!

Cons: Does not support my 1600x900 resolution monitor. :(
Had to resort to using 1400x900.

Other Thoughts: All microsoft products have never failed to amaze me (except Microsoft Bob) :P

5 out of 5 eggsGet this, not the $7 one.

Pros: No ghosting! Highest possible image quality I can get since my 360 does not have an HDMI out.

Cons: $35, does not have an optical out.

Other Thoughts: I honestly got my VGA cable today and am so happy with the quality of it. Definitely get this cable and not the $7 one. The cheapo cable gave me very noticeable ghosting and was a waste of money since I never used it after the initial attempt. This official cable from Microsoft will give you zero ghosting and give you the image quality you would expect, which is stellar.

Final thought: As hesitant as I was about spending $35 on this cable, I'm glad I did because now I know I have the highest possible image I can get since my 360 is an old model sans HDMI. Cable construction is top notch and much better than the cheapo cable. Don't waste your money and time buying a 3rd party VGA cable. This official one from Microsoft is the real deal.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb transaction!!

Pros: Good quality VGA HD cable for the XBOX360.... made by microsoft!!!
and if you have a monitor with a VGA hookup, installation is a cinch!
newegg was fast and reliable!

Cons: the GFX of the XBOX360 are seriously dated, and playing it on a HD LED 1920x1080p comp monitor will show it sadly but its way better than playing on a TV

jaggies (IE aliasing) shows really bad in most games made in the first wave of releases for the xbox360
(Halo 3, Burnout revenge, and countless other titles from that moment in time and games from the current lineups wierdly)

Other Thoughts: i guess its because of the fact that i play games on my computer with anti-aliasing on max that the GFX of the xbox really become unbearable for my poor eyes haha

however if you play games like Halo Reach and Halo CE: Anniversary, they actually look good with this cable hooked up to an HD monitor (still not flawless) but bearable!

4 out of 5 eggsNo output for optical cable.

Pros: I got this official Microsoft VGA cable to replace an older one that has recently started to periodically lose the signal. Even though the design has changed it still performs extremely well. I used it to connect my 360 to my 720p Acer projector or a 22" monitor for lan parties. While it's not a digital HD cable, it still gives you the most amazing picture you can get on your 360 without using HDMI.

Cons: Only con here is that this newer model VGA cable doesn't include the optical output for Dolby digital surround sound systems. I have no idea why MS decided to remove this feature. This is a huge disappointment to me, as I use VGA and the optical cable to connect my 360 and free up HDMI ports for my other media devices. It's only my opinion, but the quality of the images when using a HDMI cable aren't massively better than VGA. HDMI looks a little sharper with darker blacks and richer colors, but you can adjust these in display settings for most games. With that said, I prefer to use VGA for gaming and save the HDMI port for HD programs or Bluray.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the single con listed above this is still a good buy for the price. I've had my previous official 360 VGA cable since 2006 and it still works. I just gotta move the cable around a bit. In terms of overall quality this product is great, but the original is still better. It's shame MS took away the optical output on this cable and still charge this much. Well at least I'll have a spare if/when the first one gives out.
