5 out of 5 eggsWont work without an Update

Pros: Fun Game, Love Forza

Cons: Xbox will not read game at first, "no icon, No Title" hit X for info and it says get the forza horizon demo, go back to dashboard and run it with A and it updates, then runs and shows title and icon.

5 out of 5 eggsA nice addition to the franchise

Pros: Real car stats, great graphics, hours of fun, great single player mode.

Cons: -Load times are kinda long
-Could use a few more cars for each manufacturer, Forza 4 has a much better selection.

Other Thoughts: Another franchise classic that has me addicted for hours and hours, best thing a car lover will get to drive some of the best exotics out there.

5 out of 5 eggsFun game, not much like the regular Forzas

Pros: Free Roam
Real Cars
Good Radio Stations
Runs well without install
Online is much better

Cons: No Tuning Options
No race selection mode (only way to race is to drive or teleport nearby on the map)
Showcase events

Other Thoughts: I was not planning on purchasing Forza Horizon, but I was able to pick a copy up for $15 on black friday so I did. If you're used to Forza 3 and 4 it's going to take you a while to get used to the driving dynamics, the lack of mechanical damage, and the lack of tuning setups, once you do get used to it, it's great fun.

I love the free-roam feature of Forza, to be completely honest I'm only through 60% of the campaign but I've spent well over a day playing Horizon. I could waste hours on end just driving around the map trying to set higher speed trap speeds (which get ranked against your friends, car club, and the whole world).

Unlike past Forza multiplayers it seems they finally figured out how to make a multiplayer that works (for the most part). Where as in Forza 4 it would take 20 minutes just to find a lobby some times this one finds a game very quickly and the intermission is just 45 seconds. Another benefit of Forza Horizon multiplayer is the online Free-Roam, get together with up to 7 people (or find a public game) and accomplish group challenges together, getting 8 people to work together isn't always the easiest task however. If you have a strict NAT you can expect issues joining multiplayer games, like the previous Forza games.

The final point I'll talk about is the lack of installation necessity. I install every xbox 360 game I buy, since I wanted to try this out as soon as I got it I never bothered to install Horizon and surprisingly it's been working flawlessly. No noticeable load times (if any) during free-roam and everything runs pretty smoothly.

Forza Horizon is a fun game, it's not as in-depth as the other Forza's (no tuning, no mechanical damage) but you can still upgrade all the auto parts. If you've played and enjoyed Burnout Paradise I would most aptly compare the two, with the addition of real cars in Forza, Car customization, and the lack of the random crash function. Don't know if it's worth full price but for $30 or less it's a definite buy.

3 out of 5 eggsThis is NOT your typical Forza

Pros: This is a good game. Well put together and very polished.
The premise of the game is a music festival and I have to say that I enjoy the music in the game.
Fantastic character designs. Some of the best human modeling I've seen on a game. Why can't other games get it this right?
There's always something happening and the game is designed to keep you playing to get more and go faster.

Cons: I did not install this game to my xbox hard drive so it may be the root of my complaints, but the menus and loading screens are VERY slow. I'm used to the quick and light menu functions of Forza 4. It's excruciatingly slow moving when you are trying to move through the menus. I get it that they are going for a different type of atmosphere in the game, but they've overcomplicated it and I really don't like it.

The music is repetitive. Not a bother to me, but some people may get freak out after hearing the same song for the 100th time.

The "open world" of Colorado looks big but its pretty small after just a few hours of play time.

Other Thoughts: I had really high hopes for this game and while it isn't a BAD game, I'll be trading it in soon. I hope Turn 10 has learned what they are best at and continue to support Forza 4.

4 out of 5 eggsNot ground breaking, but pretty well done

Pros: Gorgeous visuals, nice engine sounds, day/night cycle. Large selection and variety of roads. Lets you know instantly if friends have beaten your achievements.

Cons: "Open world" is VERY limited in where you can travel, there are tons of inviting open areas that you would love to drive around on, but you can't get there because of the ever-present guard rails limiting your travel options.

Some races get very repetitive. Car physics are nowhere near as good as Forza 4. They are fun to drive, but somewhat "floaty".

Other Thoughts: A fun diversion from serious racing games. It's beautiful, but would have been so much better if you could actually drive everywhere.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Do you remember that feeling when you watched the fast and the furious? The movie was stupid but it was also great. This game is kind of like that- it's not about the "refined" racing scene, but goes more towards the way of the street scene if it can be so called. In short, the game can be best described as kind of like a GTA type game. You have a game world map and you drive to booths that will host races. You "register" at the booth and.... you race! There are different tracks for races but generally they are all the same. Race to the top!

Cons: The game gets very, very, repetitive at times.

Other Thoughts: For a spin off it's very good. It's a lot better than I thought it would be. There are 3 "radio stations" but all of them are highly repetitive. I do love the interaction with xbox live friends as it tells you who is on top of a particular statistic. If you have the spare money, this game is definitely worth checking out!
