4 out of 5 eggsGreat Controller for PC

Pros: Overall its a quality controller, Can be hooked up to a pc through a micro usb cable
Non-glossy so no finger print. Thumbstick are not prone to wearing out like the Xbox 360 controller are.

Cons: Still uses double AA battery, Requires Xbox One bluetooth adapter to work wireless

2 out of 5 eggsWorst PC Controller Ever

Pros: excellent joystick response and feedback
game-pad layout
adequate weight
sleek design
compatible with most PC games

Other Thoughts: I bought this because I assumed a Microsoft controller would be fully supported by windows. I thought this was a no-brainer, but apparently I should've used mine.
The main reason I chose this controller was for it's wireless capability. Finding out that it lacked this function I then found out it did not come with a mini-usb cable. I then used an extra cable I had and it would not stay plugged in!
So when I could afford it, I bought the plug-and-play kit. It worked well for about a month, although it often came unplugged while playing. After a month it was useless. I had to use electrical tape to reinforce the connection but this was futile. The cable is inadequate for anything but stationary charging. I also used electrical tape to block that annoying light at nighttime.
Fed-up I was about to sell the thing when I found out wireless capability was coming this fall for PC, then read that it will only be compatible with windows 10.
I now officially hate Microsoft and it's developers for their controller that should've been an easy, logically developed product.
Just bought a DS4, I'm throwing this controller in the trash.

3 out of 5 eggsBest option for PC gaming

Pros: - Plug-and-play, works perfectly for every game I have played after installing driver
- Extremely solid construction, feels like a premium product in-hand
- Can be used on both Xbox One and PC
- Best analog sticks ever made
- The most aesthetically pleasing gamepad

Cons: - No internal, rechargeable battery
- D-pad is much improved from 360 version, but still inferior to DS4
- Loud, clicky response from XYAB buttons
- Bumpers also have a loud, clicky response
- Still no wireless functionality on PC (coming Fall 2015, 2 years after launch)

Other Thoughts: The Dualshock 4 is the better gamepad, however the thumb sticks are awful. They feel too short and the rubber is too soft, which results in noticeable wear in a short period of time. There is an easy mod where you can replace the sticks on the DS4 with Xbox One sticks (available very cheap online), which makes the controller an absolute beast. It is much more comfortable to use than the Xbone gamepad. Personally, I enjoy the layout of the DS4's analog sticks being on the same axis. It feels more natural to me. Both the buttons and bumpers on the DS4 have a great feel to them as well, and they are inaudible when pressed. The Xbox One gamepad is too clicky, loud, and feels cheaper in this area. While the d-pad on the Xbone controller is improved from the 360 version, the DS4 design still reigns supreme. The DS4 also features an internal, rechargeable li-ion battery like practically every other portable electronic device today. The Xbone controller requires 2 AA batteries for wireless use. This is an objectively poor and antiquated design choice.

The main reason I use an Xbone gamepad on PC, rather than the superior DS4, is compatibility. The Xbone gamepad just works. The DS4 works a lot of the time, albeit with drivers and additional software needed to run. Even with the software and drivers installed, there are some games that will not recognize the controller. The prompts on-screen will also only correspond with the Xbox's "XYAB" buttons, not PS symbols. This is something that takes some practice to have a quick response, and may irritate those who have not spent significant time using both controllers.

Overall, this gamepad gets my endorsement as the best option for PC gaming. It is a solid choice, and nearly effortless to setup and begin using. If Microsoft and game developers decided to provide native support for the DS4 on PC, then the DS4 would be my choice (after the mandatory analog stick swap).

2 out of 5 eggsStick Drift Issue

Pros: This is a great feeling controller and is much easier to use for longer gaming sessions. I bought this purely for PC gaming and don't own an Xbox One.

Cons: Warranty is only 90 days. My controller started doing an upward drift on the left joystick after 5 months of use. Games are nearly unplayable now. There is a thread on the Forums with more than 54 pages of users complaining about this same issue. They need to fix this!

I'm also annoyed that the Xbox One controller does not support Wireless for PC yet.

Other Thoughts: I give it two stars since it is immensely better than the Xbox 360 controllers.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat controller, but warranty is wrong

Pros: Excellent controller, lightweight and feels good in the hands. D-pad is actually usable. Works with PC with just a regular micro-USB cable. Overall a great improvement over the 360 controller.

Cons: After 6 months the left stick now gets stuck if pushed upward, making this controller unusable. Further, the microsoft "warranty" is only 90 days for accessories, not 1 year as indicated here, and there's no indication I would even be able to get warranty support from Microsoft without owning an Xbox One. Not planning to buy another of these for now.

1 out of 5 eggsThe Humpty Dumpty Controller

Pros: Came with the console.

Cons: Designed to ergonomically slip right the heck off of your lap, or any uneven surface. The one I've had for 2 months is already loose inside from landing on my carpet from my lap.

0/5 eggs. Only posted one to post the review.

Other Thoughts: If I could make a NES controller work for the One, I'd rather do that than use this controller. If I have to put the battery pack back on one more time, I'll scream.

Just buy a PS4. MCC is terrible anyway.
