It's zombie-bashing time in the Xbox 360 blockbuster hit Dead Rising! You play as Frank West, a cocky photojournalist investigating the strange events in a sleepy little Colorado town. Riding in a helicopter, Frank asks to be dropped off at the massive, local shopping mall. When he gets inside, he realizes that it -- and the whole town -- is overrun by the living dead! With only a 72-hour window until the helicopter returns, Frank has to get the story and photos of his career, save some lives, and protect himself from becoming lunch!

In Dead Rising, everything is fair game when it comes to zombie smashing. Trash cans, chainsaws, lawn mowers, guitars, plates, showerheads, skateboards, bowling balls, appliances -- anything you can get your hands on before they get their undead hands on yours! Don’t forget to grab some snacks to maintain your health.

With countless side quests, two extra unlockable modes of play ("Overtime" and "Infinity" mode), hundreds of flesh-eating undead to destroy, Dead Rising is sure to keep zombie-killing fans busy for months!

Pros: -A great Xbox 360 Classic, a must to at least check out.
-It has Frank West, not Chuck Greene.
-You kill zombies, how can that not be a pro?

Cons: -Stupid Survivor AI

Other Thoughts: Overall a really great game by Capcom

4 out of 5 eggsFun game

Pros: This is a fun game, and is basically like George Romero's Dawn of the Dead movie. There are a lot of zombies, and an equal number of different ways to eliminate them (some of which are quite amusing and gruesome). In fact, this is often more rewarding than accomplishing the missions. If you're a fan of the horror/survivor/zombie genre, you will enjoy this game.

Cons: The save system only allows you to save games in a single slot, which may cause issues as you progress through the game. But I think that I understand why it was done this way, to promote the survivor experience. Also, some of the "psychopath"/boss characters are quite difficult to defeat. Rescue/escort missions can be grueling, and the janitor is constantly calling you on the radio.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth adding to your game library. Looking forward to playing Dead Rising 2.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst game I've ever played...

Pros: Lots of zombies

Cons: Where to start...

(1) Enemies which aren't zombies have huge amounts of health (it shouldn't take 60+ bullets to kill 1 person)

(2) Bullets don't do any damage to enemies after a certain distance (about 70 feet away)

(3) Time... I do not like being forced to finish a game and missions/quests/objectives within the game in a set amount of time, especially in this game, since the pro of "Lots of zombies" then becomes a con

(4) Character portrayal; completely unrealistic personalities given to people within the game (example of which people are the person with the dog who gets herself killed trying to bring it in from a crowd of zombies, and the psychotic guy who practically worships the grocery store and tries killing you for entering when you only need to get medicine)

(5) The walkie-talkie thing that gives you updates about people in need of assistance. YOU CAN'T TURN IT OFF! Every once in a while it'll ring, and if you don't answer it, it'll ring a minute later.. nonsto

Other Thoughts: I absolutely HATE this game. It is the worst game I have ever played in my entire life. I look up information about games before I get them, and it looked like a decent game from the gameplay footage. The gameplay footage did not entail the bosses (besides playthroughs that bored out of watching), and if it did, I would have never bought the game. I had high hopes for the game when I got it, but that quickly turned into disgust at the complete lack of quality the game held.

The graphics aren't that great, but that's understandable due to the amount of zombies on the screen at any given time.

If the game didn't cost me money, I'd be cutting it up into tiny pieces and destroying it in any way my mind could think up right now.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid this game.

Pros: Nice graphics.

Cons: Long, long cut scenes. Few weapons that must be hunted down. Inferior save system. Tens of thousands of zombies that reproduce over and over again. One is locked in a mall with them. It is so packed with zombies it is hard to move. Weapons are weak and break all the time. Escort missions are annoying. Not only does one have to escort, kill zombies with no weapons, answer annoying repetitive phone calls. I had to turn the volume off it became so annoying. Plus there are really no goals except escort and picture taking.

Other Thoughts: My game screen got so dark after playing through the first part of the game I have given up. I was going to get an exchange, but my 30 days are up for that option. One is better of buying "Left 4 Dead".

4 out of 5 eggsDead Rising

Pros: This be honest, this is A game based of the old zombie movie Dawn of the Dead.Even though it says right on the package it isn't.Wich is cool, and the reason I bought the game to begin with.

I was amazed by the sheer amount of enemies that were on screen at once.Everything is A weapon. The mall is pretty cool to explore.

Cons: The irritating time limit the game gives you to complete objectives is way to short.Wich is the major flaw in the game. Also try to guide the npc`s to safety is a pain and A chore. They will wander of on there own and get attacked by zombies.Or for no reason try to fight or kill A zombie.

Other Thoughts: If your A fan of the old zombie movie Dawn of the Dead, than pick this game up.The game is cool but also very frustrating.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Time Consumer.

Pros: Very challenging. There are so many weapons that you can use in this game, all the way from Toy Lightsaber to a Car parked in the parking lot. Everything is there for you to use and you'll need everything you can get your hands on since this game is Hard! The best thing about this game is that you can play it multiple times because depending on who you save, how many you save, if you save anyone changes the main story and the ending dramastically.

Cons: The con about this game for some people is probably that it could get too hard? I don't find that a problem for me, but if there are some easy going gamers out there then they'd probably might get ticked off at the difficulty of this game and how much you die. The answer is, save whenever you can!

Other Thoughts: Buy it. You'll enjoy it. Even if you beat the game and don't play it for a while, you'll most likely be going back to it just so you can get your hands on a chainsaw and rip through those crowds of zombies.

4 out of 5 eggsIf you've ever hated an NPC...

Pros: Challenging and addictively fun. Above-average plot, as well. You'll never tire of trying to find new ways to kill zombies.

Cons: The poor AI of the characters you have to save makes most of the rescue missions EXTREMELY frustrating. On more than one occasion, I let an NPC die a terrible zombie death just so I didn't have to deal with them any longer.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth playing at least once, though the replay is pretty good, too.

1 out of 5 eggsAmazing transformation

Pros: The (wrong) game came sealed and undamaged.

Cons: When I opened my box for a zombie game it turned out to be Wall-E.

Other Thoughts: Zombies...mistaken for a Disney cute robot.....hunh? Which guy at the warehouse made that mistake?
Newegg usually doesn't make these kind of mistakes.
