Great value for this game.
- Pros: Price: got this game for 8 bucks and free shipping. it shipped monday from california and somehow got to my house in new york on wednesday with egg saver shipping (lucky i guess?)
using the glaive (giant ninja star type thingy) to kill enemies is very fun. as you progress in the game you unlock new abilities, like "aftertouch", a shield, invisibility. you can electrocute, freeze, or set on fire enemies with the glaive. the gore is awesome, cutting off limbs, decapitating, or just shooting is all gory fun.
- Cons: story is weak. third person camera angle is kinda weird. when aiming the sensitivity is very low but when simply moving in third person the camera is very sensitive and the options only have 1 sensitivity setting that controls both.
- Other Thoughts: pretty fun game and worth the 8 bucks in my opinion.
For less than the price of an arcade game...
- Pros: ...you can get Dark Sector. Why this is $8, I don't really know. It's a great game, even if it borrows from other hit games. It takes plasmid-like powers from Bioshock and puts them on your glaive. It takes the slow approaching zombie factor (that start running when they get close to you) and the accompanying close combat routines from Resident Evil (4&5), as well as the merchant (Black Market vs Stranger in RE4). Controls and forgettable story are borrowed from Gears of War. As such, the actiony gameplay is great, and actually puzzles take more effort to solve than Gears or such.
- Cons: Story sucks, multiplayer is meh. But neither of those are worth taking off for.
Terrible
- Pros: This game has decent graphics
Good start Interesting character and weapon design Smooth challenge curve
- Cons: Nothing special here. An action game that 'tries' to be somewhat a horror game and fails miserably. This game has very limited appeal to it, the story is very bad along with the voice acting. The character development is just worthless, it is very hard to find a place in your heart for any of the characters in the game.
- Other Thoughts: But for the price it is at, (under $10) at least try this game. I'm sure some of you will find it somewhat playable. I could not spend more than 5 hours on this game, but it might have a certain appeal to you.
