When you're in the middle of a firefight, it's always good to have a partner watching your back. In Electronic Arts' third person shooter, "Army of Two", cooperative play is the name of the game as you play one of two battle-hardened former Army Rangers who've become "security contractors." Whether you and a buddy are playing together, or you're playing alone and letting the AI control your comrade, you'll need to work together to survive the six story-driven campaigns.

Together you can operate hovercraft, Humvees and even a forklift with one partner driving while the other shoots. Cooperative maneuvers like boosting your partner over a wall, rappelling down a vertical surface, swapping weapons and borrowing ammo are all part of the action. As you advance, your team earns money for better and customized armor and weapons. Your biggest weapon, however, is the innovative "Aggro" system. The more aggressive you are, the more the enemy will target you. This can be used to draw their attention away from your comrade as he moves to outflank them. You can also draw fire away from your wounded comrade as you drag him back to heal his wounds.

Play cooperatively with another player on Xbox Live. Or, compete against another two-player team in multi-player scenarios where each team tries to achieve the objective – and earn the rewards – before the other.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Enjoyable Co-op

Pros: Fun game play, plenty of character customization, good gun variety and customization, and some of the funnest 2 player co-op campaign and multiplayer ive ever played.

Love the cover and aggro system.

Cons: Enemy AI can be insanely stupid at times.

4 out of 5 eggsArmy of Two

Pros: Co-op is fun, easy to get into. Ordered this as a gift and they love it. Newegg's price can't be beat. This title cost more USED retail.

Cons: Campaign is relatively short and your computer-AI for co-op is smart but not a replacement for a real Army of Two.

I didn't purchase this game for multiplayer since the person receiving the gift wasn't allowed XBL play. (M$ should think about a ban on users with poor etiquette and constantly using inappropriate language.)

Other Thoughts: Shipped super fast. Newegg has always been great with having orders shipped quick.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible game

Pros: coop campaign
fast shipping

Cons: -faulty game mechanics
-completely overpowered AI which make professional near impossible to play, and the normal mode difficult.
-unable to move while sniping
-very short campaign
-missions are long with very very few check points.

Other Thoughts: i didnt play with the AI teammate cant comment on how good he is. and didnt go online either, but i regret buying this game.
(i have beat every cod on veteran, and this makes that seem incredibly easy)

there is another army of two game comming out, it will probably be just as terrible and i wouldnt even think of purchasing it.

1 out of 5 eggsUnreadable Disc

Pros: Nice box. The disc is shiny and scratch free...

Cons: The game is completely unplayable. Anytime from system boot-up to 15 minutes into gameplay I get the "disc is unreadable" error message. The disc came in a sealed package and is brand new with no scratches. The other 6 games that I purchased at the same time play just fine. Based on what I've read in online forums, this seems to be fairly common with several EA games on the 360.

Other Thoughts: While the game disc is obviously no fault of newegg's, I don't care for their policy. Games apparently aren't subject to a refund policy, and it'll cost me over $8 just to RMA. Looks like I just wasted my money. I'll think twice before buying software from newegg in the future, especially software from EA (always seems to be plagued with bugs and errors.)

4 out of 5 eggsFun but needs more

Pros: Awesome visuals when played on 720p or higher resolutions, guns are fun to upgrade and tweak, ability to interact with your partner is priceless, and gameplay is for the most part, good. Deffinetly worth at least renting to beat(you won't need much longer than that anyway) And Aggro, wow, aggro was done very well in this so you can truly use strategy because I'm tired of the enemy AI always knowing where both players are at due to poor programming, in this, they can practically forget the other player is there if you do it right.

Cons: Well, this game could have used a LOT of adjusting, like full 3D roaming enviornments, not the straight out point A to point B strategy that takes you to the enemy. Also, the customization of guns is all the same, what the heck? Maybe I want something a little different for each gun, or more for one, less for another, or the ability to get unique upgrades for specific guns would be nice.

Other Thoughts: This game is fun, I haven't done online but I save that for PC games like COD4 and CS. But all in all this is a good game for when you have a buddy to play it with, that truly makes all the difference. My friend and I still play this game over and over again just because of how we can do things differently using Aggro to change up how the enemy reacts.

2 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: Nice visuals, ability to make weapons gold and silver is cool, co-op aspect is enjoyable.

Cons: Very short campaign. Online play is TERRIBLE! It takes over 200 bullets to kill someone. The online play is Laggy, has few maps, and only supports 2 vs 2 gameplay.

Other Thoughts: Try a demo or rent first.

4 out of 5 eggsMultiplayer

Pros: Great game for co-op play. You are able to not only purchase new guns...although if you beat it on Recruit or Contractor the "Primary" weapons become also unlocks "Professional" which will add all other weapons as owned once beaten. Once you own a weapon you can upgrade it with new: barrels (increased damage), stocks (increased accuracy), hi-cap mags, etc.
The online co-op makes this game! Complete objectives...that simple, but very fun.

Cons: Short short short game play. Only 6 levels to play. Maybe an hour per level on Contractor (medium) or Recruit (easy) difficulty levels.

Other Thoughts: I was very disappointed when I beat the game on day one after about 5 hours of game play. It took some getting used to as you have to learn a different way of changing weapons (vs. COD4 or Halo 3) and learn to control your AI partner. Only reason I didn't get from Newegg was because I wanted it right now, but Newegg can't be beat.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as good as it could have been

Pros: Graphics are nice

Cons: The whole "team concept" seems cool, but poorly executed. There is no free roam, you are basically going point a to point b and you can only get there one way. Not too much weapons to choose from and weapons do not do damage as they should. I had a RPG and it coulden't even take out a solider on foot.

Other Thoughts: Rent it
