Best Music Game in Years!
- Pros: Builds on the success of Guitar Hero, adding drums and vocals for a full band experience. It's a TON of fun if you have friends over, especially at holiday parties. This version is just the software, so you can get any USB mic and a guitar hero controller or two and have almost everything (minus drums). The songlist is nice, and the downloadable library is set to expand by hundreds of songs.
- Cons: The peripherals that come with the bundle edition are of questionable quality...they feel much more real than Guitar Hero controllers, but they're prone to damage from even light use...Getting this version (that is just the game only), and buying a GH controller is probably your best bet...EA will replace the guitars from the bundle, if you do go that route and get a defective one.
- Other Thoughts: Downloadable content will make this game playable for years, as opposed to most music games where the tracklist gets old after a while. Besides, there's nothing funnier than bringing this to a holiday party seeing your slightly tipsy mother-in-law headbanging and wailing into the mic during Enter Sandman...
Love at First Game
- Pros: This game is just awesome. My friends got the whole set awhile back and i love to sing and play Guitar. I bought one of the new wireless guitars instead of the set because i wont play the drums and my boys needed another guitar to make a full band. Love the available downloads especially "Still Alive" from the end of the game Portal. just a great game to learn on your own or play with your friends.
- Cons: Only thing i miss is the ability to play Band world tour over Xbox Live. You can play with other people but only song by song not as a touring band. Me and my friends are spreadout across the state and want to play together.
- Other Thoughts: All in all an awesome game with great replay especially with friends. If your the first in your group to buy the game id say get the set but if you allready know people with it like i do buying just the game with a guitar hero guitar or a new wireless one is great

The Troops ROCK!
- Pros: This is an AWESOME game to play when you're deployed. Whenever there is downtime, as little as there may be, you get together with your battle buddies and sweat over tracks. It's great for cooperative play.
- Cons: You have to make sure to calibrate your particular tv with each instrument. Otherwise you'll miss out on a lot of points.
- Other Thoughts: We may be doing a Battle of the Bands soon.
Great... but dont buy it.
- Pros: Fantastic game, a must for any music fan. Buuut.....
- Cons: Unfortunately, there is absolutely NO reason to purchase the game anymore. With Rock Band 2 out, all you have to do is go RENT RB1 from any video store and pop it into yer 360.. once you do, 360 has an update, update allows you to Export the Songs on RB1 to yer HD for a license fee of 400MS points. Once you DO that, all the RB1 Songs except 3 (Google it) are listed as DLC for RB2.
I'd like to find something to say that's nice
- Pros: It plays with the Xbox 360 - and comes with some music
- Cons: As is, there is nothing that you can do with the software. The external box indicates that you can play with the standard controllers. Not exactly true if you would like to simulate a rock band - which is what the whole point of this "
"game?" is supposed to be about.
- Other Thoughts: As always, Newegg was right on time with their delivery; they were by far the sole redeeming virtue in the entire transaction.
