First off props to newegg for making sure it made the 2500 mile trip safely. Instead of being packed just in its own flimsy ...

Pick up this axe and take the lead of your video music group, or, lay down the bass riffs. Modeled after the legendary Fender Stratocaster, this wireless guitar controller does double duty. The innovative design features a double set of fret buttons on the neck to allow a variety of playing styles. The fret buttons farthest out on the neck correspond to the colored notes moving on the screen while the second set, close to the body, allow the player to "finger tap" notes during intense solos without having to strum.

Choose your own audio effects with the FX handle to maximize your performance during Overdrive, choosing between flange, echo, chorus, and wah-wah. If you're left-handed, you can use the "Lefty Flip" option within the game to reverse the controller. Lay down power chords as you lead your band through rock anthems, or provide bass back-up. You can also hone your skills in the practice and tutorial modes, or take on another drummer in "Tug of War" and "Score Duel" modes.

Because it's wireless, you can flail away and do other on-stage acrobatics in the comfort of your own living room without having to worry about bringing down an amp – or pulling your console off the shelf.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a steal!

Pros: -Brand name, high quality
-Cheap price

Cons: No drums? Won't do your homework? Won't run on nuclear fission and occasionally will need new batteries?

Other Thoughts: Bought two guitars, along with a copy of Rockband 2 from W**M**t.com and am playing Rockband with a friend for about $50 all in all. The official kit costs $150 at most places, and you only get one guitar. If you buy all this, a set of drums, and a mic separately, you'll be ahead as far as price goes, and you'll have 2 guitars instead of 1!

GREAT deal. Don't skip out on this. These are Rockband (1) guitars, but they will work with Rockband 2.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat price

Pros: Very low price for offical guitar. solid construction. actually comes with batteries and the strap. has adapther for head set to plug in guitar so you can sign and strum too!

Cons: the motion detector for the over drive works when it wants to but that's how the ones that come in the full band set are too.

Other Thoughts: I got this one so we could have a bass player in the band.

5 out of 5 eggsWhaa- No Way!

Pros: Amazing! Plays just like the RockBand 2 wireless guitar controller I bought for $79.99. You can buy 4 of these for even cheaper then the price of the RB 2 ones. Comes with Alkaline batteries.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I would much rather buy one of these then wast my money on a rockband 2 one. All the rockband 2 one has is a cooler paint design and a rubber grip on the back of the neck. You will be disapointed with the rockband 2 one. You'll be the happiest you've been in months if you just buy this one. Heck buy 2! you'll be twice as happy.

1 out of 5 eggsUtter piece of junk

Pros: This is a really cheap price for a wireless guitar; in fact, that's what made me click on the link. But then...

Cons: I found out that this was the Rock Band guitar from the first game. Ugh, these things have give me so many problems. My first one was a wireless, and the strum bar stopped registering after the first two months. Then, thinking that the bundled one was just of inferior quality, moved onto the wireless version (I.E. this model) and the whammy bar broke, and then the strumbar broke.

Again, this one only lasted for two months.

Finally, my friend gave me his wired one, because he bought two wireless. That one only lasted for a couple of weeks, but at least I didn't pay for it.

After all of that misery and heart ache, I finally bought two Guitar Hero guitars. They are small, noisy, and kind of uncomfortable, but at least they work and have been working for the past eight months.

Other Thoughts: Why would you make a peripheral so comfortable and awesome looking, but then make the internals sooo bad?

I love how it's 3/4 scale instead of 1/2 scale (compared to GH), and how quiet it is, and how the fret buttons are significantly larger and easier to play, and I even miss those stupid filters that you can only do with RB guitars. BUT IT ALL DOESN'T MATTER IF THE STUPID THING BREAKS DOWN AFTER 2 MONTHS.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised when GH guitars were made by Red Octane, and Harmonix guitars are probably just made by Mad Katz.

tl;dr: Stick with Harmonix for software, and Red Octane for hardware.

4 out of 5 eggsEA Rock Band Wireless Guitar for Xbox 360

Pros: nice feel to it, keys are right on. can't beat the price.

Cons: This Guitar is not compatible with Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero 3. It is compatible with all other guitar hero, band hero, and rock band games.

Sometimes the star power sticks open all the time.

Other Thoughts: overall i like it.

4 out of 5 eggsNoisy after a little use..

Pros: Bought this during the after Xmas sale, but not as cheap as it is now.. works fine @ the beggining for what you pay for.... but all around good for the price...

Cons: Maybe it's being used to much, but the fret buttons are starting to make clicking noise from being press/released.. (reason for -1/egg).. and the strum lever is starting to feel flimsy.. but then again.. it's probably from getting played too much.. lol.. but then again, the one that came with RB 2 is still running solid and that one gets used more..

Other Thoughts: good extra guitar for the price.. I'll probably take it apart in lube the fret buttons..

4 out of 5 eggsLove the price

Pros: I like the thinner neck similar to the GH2 guitar, much easier to use than the GH5 wireless guitar I have.

Cons: If you shake it, you can hear a spring wiggle around. But everything works so big deal.

Other Thoughts: I would have preferred having actual switches in the strum bar and a whammy bar that's a little more sensitive. Everything works but that's the difference between Guitar Hero and Rock Band controllers.

5 out of 5 eggsGood guitar

Pros: Light, easy to rest on your leg to play while sitting, looks like a real guitar (from a distance) propped up against the wall. Works with Rock Band AND Guitar Hero. Overall the guitar cannot be beat for its value at this price. If you are new to these games and want to try them out, this is the guitar for you. Also, my strum bar works fine.

Cons: What cons? Try finding a brand new guitar cheaper, from a reliable source, with free shipping. It can't be done.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat a deal!

Pros: Super cheap, wireless, timeless Fender Strat design, compatible with newer Rock Band games.

Cons: Makes a goofy springy sound when bumped. Buttons are a little noisy, but you should have the stereo cranked to 11 anyway!

Other Thoughts: No brainer for the 2nd guitar, or replacement for Rock Band.
