Battlefield Goes Next-Gen!

Battlefield 4 is powered by the advanced technology of DICE’s exclusive Frostbite 3 engine for a visceral, dramatic experience unlike any other. Blur the line between game and glory in Battlefield 4.

Only in Battlefield will you experience the intensity of Revolution, dynamically changing the environment by cutting the power to a building and shrouding your enemies in darkness or reducing a skyscraper to rubble. Only in Battlefield will you lead a naval assault from the back of a gun boat. Battlefield grants you the freedom to do more and be more while playing to your strengths and carving your own path to victory.

In addition to its hallmark multiplayer, Battlefield 4 features an intense, dramatic character-driven campaign that starts with the evacuation of American VIPs from Shanghai and follows your squad's struggle to find its way home.

There is no comparison. Immerse yourself in the glorious chaos of all-out war, found only in Battlefield.

2 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Game was not damaged or anything like that upon arrival
Gameplay is fun if you ignore the graphical content.

Cons: Horrid graphics, makes me want to run far away from it
No setting to change the horrid graphics

Other Thoughts: If your not a "Graphics" kind of guy then surely go ahead and buy this game, however it looks like someone took a dump on it, I cannot find the settings to change the video settings. Please don't buy this, I 100% gaurentee you will you not like this.

If you want this game, please purchase it with the xbox 1.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: you can rent it if you don't want to waste $60

Cons: Everything

Other Thoughts: The campaign is about the only thing in this game that works consistently, and considering it's only about an hour long thats no real accomplishment. This game should not be sold as multiplayer, it is almost impossible to play with friends, and if you actually do make it into a match the game will freeze your xbox half way through. EA is well known for its greediness, shutting down servers on their sports games when a new edition comes out, all the shortcuts and weapon unlocks cost you even more on top of the $60 you pay originally, forget about maps unless you really have no understanding of money. They really have lost touch, all the dynamic environment and graphics engines in the world are worthless if players cannot play the game. Its really a beautiful game for the few minutes you spend in it before it freezes on you, so if you want a few minutes of joy followed by a half hour of agony by all means buy this game and use the rest of your money in a mental ward.

1 out of 5 eggsUn finished

Pros: There are no pros about this game

Cons: This game was shipped before it was finished! They must not have finished beta testing this. You still get the freeze just like BF3, doesn't save your progress half the time when playing multiplayer. Horrible graphics, doesn't run higher then 720px on the new Xbox one and looks even worse on the 360! I can't even list the issues this game has, there's to many.

Other Thoughts: Save your money and buy something else!

4 out of 5 eggsBest shooter on current gen consoles.

Pros: Single player;

Playing single player on Battlefield is what you would expect. It's short and sweet. The campaign takes <10 hours to complete if you know what your doing. The story is much like a Hollywood action movie rather than a military simulation. That isn't a bad thing specially with today's youth who want instant gratification (Although I would prefer more realism). There are big explosions, plot twists, and many moments that leave you saying 'wow, I can't believe that just happened.' There are a few flaws with single player. More than a few times I found myself being pinned down by gunfire only to have enemies spawn right beside me out of thin air and kill me. This happened way more than it should. Also on several occasions the mission progress seemed to get stuck and I could not go any further unless I restarted from a check point. I managed to make it through the campaign without these flaws detracting from my overall experience and knowing Dice/EA they should have this patched in no time.

Now this is the meat and potatoes of a Battlefield game. The sounds of the game are amazing specially on a nice pair of headphones. The gameplay remains similar to BF3 while also feeling more fluid and natural. The maps are a bit on the smaller side like BF3 but feel much larger and detailed a definite step up from last iteration. The unlocks and leveling move at a nice pace without being too easy and vehicles are just as fun as you might think they would be. The only flaws I found so far with MP is sometimes the textures won't load on my gun right away making it impossible to look down the sights and sometimes the bipod on some guns wont deploy instantly, also a problem in BF3.

I think a few patches will do this game good but as it stands it is an easy 4/5 for any Battlefield fan or a shooter fan in general. If the games looks and plays this good on current gen I CAN'T WAIT to see it live on next gen.

Cons: See above.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Non yet

Cons: The MP is an absolute joke. Lagging all the time. Constant freezes in which you have to reboot your xbox. Ranking, unlockables and save data get lost regularly. The graphics are not xbox 360 worthy. Can't form squads prior to games. Server searching is a waste of time, as most of the time a server will be full, though the list shows empty slots. Non user friendly loadout screens (COD's is 1000 times better).

Other Thoughts: I was a big COD player, but got tired of the same game year after year. I played the BF 4 beta and loved it. Bought this on release day, and have yet to enjoy it. The beta played better. How can EA release this game with all these bugs? Apparently there are no testers anymore. Either that or they put all their resources into the Xbox One version. Sad, I was hoping to enjoy BF. EA fails again.
