3 out of 5 eggsIt's Ok

Pros: It's a Civ game with a similar feel to it as the rest.

Cons: It's like a Civ starter edition. After playing 3, 4 and 5 this game isn't advanced enough. If you have never played the other sims this one is great.

Other Thoughts: It's not a bad game but don't expect the same experience you would get from Civ III or higher.

5 out of 5 eggslove it

Pros: Just a lot of fun. Well executed strategy games are rare on consoles. Eventually got to where I can win on deity, and without mulligans. You can get a good amount of achievements(500+) with just one game, if you use your dominant position late in the game to breeze through all victory types, and meet the city goals. Variety in ruler perks is fun.

Cons: only on consoles, so I couldn't own it till I gave in and got a 360. I got hooked at a friends place, then had to do without.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game

Pros: Lots of hours of game play. Great graphics, sound, game strategy & enjoyment. Faster game play then the computer versions.

Cons: Not as in depth as computer versions of Civ.

Other Thoughts: I have played different variations of Civilizations over the years dating back to II and I like how accessible this version is to the masses and it keeps its core in tack however somewhat on the easier side of things compared to those others.

4 out of 5 eggssimplified but still good

Pros: Despite being dumbed down a bit vs the PC versions and streamlined to make games shorter and less involved, its still addictive and fun.

Cons: game still has some minor annoying bugs that will never be fixed. Navitaging through units to find that one you accidentally skipped can be a pain

Other Thoughts: if youre a passionate fan of the PC version, try the demo first. Lots of PC fans don't like Revolution's differences. Personally, I like 'em both. Also, shouldn't there be some sort of sequel to this already?

4 out of 5 eggsFun game!

Pros: It's a great game for the xbox 360. Just like the usual civilization games. If you like the idea of conquering over other kingdoms/cities, then you should try out this game.

Cons: Not as detailed as the computer version, but it's still a great game to play on the xbox 360 when my fiance is using the laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game

Pros: An overall good game. The graphics are up to par. The game is just as fun and revolutionary (no pun intended) as the games before it. Some replay value, but no real reason to replay other than achievements and the fun factor.

Cons: The game is too short. You are limited to a number of years in the game. This isn't a huge problem, but it would have been nice if it was a little longer.

5 out of 5 eggsreply to Ty

Pros: Like it

Cons: Previously stated

Other Thoughts: Ty, just because you consider yourself an oldtimer on the game, it's no reason to deter newcomers. Your comments seem to be more oreinted to boast of your longtime play of the game rather than to offer a true assessment of this game.

5 out of 5 eggsfirst trip into this type of game

Pros: This is my first experience with this type of game so I'm not sure where it should be rated when compared to long time users. I will say that you can spend a lot more time than you should on it. I don't know if that's a plus but it is hard to let go of. In my mind that's a sign of a good game. In the morning I'm still thinking about how to move stuff instead of thinking about what is on todays agenda.

Cons: Takes too long to load when you start. You might as well turn on your stuff and start it up and go talk to a neighbor or something. They're in love with their prescreens.
I wake up in the morning thinking about how to move sutff instead of thing about what I need to do today.

Other Thoughts: I'm still going through the minor levels but I have already realized that this game offers so many options of game play that it will take me a long time to play through all the scenarios.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for Newbs

Pros: It has colorful graphics and animation. The controls are very easy and game play goes by quickly. It's available for multiple platforms. For anyone new to the Civ franchise, this is definitely an entry level combo menu item.

Cons: 1) - If you're used to playing the PC version (Civ I, II, III, IV) and like the extensive control you have in the PC version, you may be disappointed. They seriously dumbed down Civ Revolution to make it work on a console platform. In addition, I think they dumbed it down to attract a larger market of newbs and occassional players. I have to admit, I am disappointed after 2 weeks (I only played it for about 8 hours).

2) - No local multiplayer options. This means you need system link or Xbox Live and can't host party style games.

Other Thoughts: I can't get a refund on a game, so I'm going to put it on Craigslist for a quick sale and cut my losses. I'm going back to Civ IV until a new version (Civ V?) is out.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: This game is excellent. The adviser concept is cool and has been brought back from Civ I or II(can't remember). Naval support has finally arrived and the army(fleet, wing) concept is good.

Cons: Graphical lag when all the map is shown. Multiplayer needs a bit of tweaking.

Other Thoughts: The one more turn addiction still exists in this version of Civ. The leaders are very well designed but their AI is extremely aggressive; so people who don't like to fight might be put off by this game.
