Play along with Aerosmith – as Aerosmith – through their musical career in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for the Xbox 360. Follow the band from its first show at Mendon Nipmuc Regional High School in 1970 to the 2001 Super Bowl XXXV halftime show and their 2001 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band members worked closely with the developers – including participating in motion capture – to create a truly accurate Aerosmith experience. Over 40 songs – many of them master tracks – make up the set list. While the majority of the tunes are by Aerosmith – including four remastered specifically for the game – the rest were chosen by the band members from acts that have played with Aerosmith, or whom inspired the band.
Gameplay is based on Guitar Hero III with four levels of difficulty and some improvements to the mechanics. Play competitively or cooperatively with another player or go solo with Quickplay and Career mode. The latter features six segments based on periods in the band's history along with a Boss Battle against Joe Perry. Extra content, including videos, is presented throughout the game or can be unlocked along with other band members and guests, such as Run DMC and Lenny Kravitz.
The wireless guitar controller included in this bundle is modeled after the Gibson Les Paul and is customized with a special red faceplate featuring the Aerosmith logo in white. It features the five color-coded frets on the neck along with a durable, responsive strum bar, whammy bar and a tilt sensor. The Start and Select buttons have been crafted to resemble the volume and gain knobs on the original. The bundle also features a tour book, stickers, key chain and dual guitar gig bag.

Excelent But Not Much Different
- Pros: Graphics Updated a little bit. Great songs to play.
- Cons: Gets old fast. Just another Guitar Hero.
- Other Thoughts: Not a bad game if you enjoy Aerosmith. Definately get the bundle since the guitar ends up only costing like 30 bucks.
Love it
- Pros: You'd really have to like Aerosmith to love this game, which is a given. Fortunately, I do. The animation and the real interviews are fun to watch. I just opened the box a few hours ago and it's been a delight thus far.
- Cons: This is actually my first Guitar Hero set. I've had a lot of experience with the first Rockband and have to admit, the guitar you get here is just okay. I've read other reviews on other sites about the horrors of receiving inoperable devices or ones with too much 'clicking' sound. Mine works fine but definitely 'clicks' more loudly strumming up then down but isn't too annoying to complain about. Compared to the Rockband guitar, this one feels more littletike, if you know what I mean. I'd like to see more attention paid to the neck of this guitar, besides a carefully placed Gibson logo, which as a musician, only makes me chuckle to myself and is in no means a selling point. I miss the second set of smaller buttons that Rockband gives you on the neck, which comes in handy when that dreaded orange note comes hurling at you on the screen. (Stubby fingers aside.)
- Other Thoughts: All in all, it's a good buy for an Aerosmith fan.
