Guitar Hero World Tour invites you to put down your guitar – and pick up a pair of drum sticks or a microphone and rock out! World Tour adds the use of percussion and vocals to the rhythmic play.
Gameplay remains true to the original with improved mechanics resulting from the expanded capabilities. A new, "Beginner" difficulty setting lets newcomers get into the game and "Easy Rhythm" allows younger members of the family to join in. Play with local or online players and climb your way to the top with Band Career mode. Take your game online and compete against other players in battle of the band competitions.
All of the songs will be derived from master tracks with bands ranging from the Eagles and Billy Idol to Sublime and Linkin Park. No more strict set lists. Instead, play gigs through your "career" and choose which songs you want to master first. World Tour takes things to the next level by allowing you to create new songs – complete with lead, bass and rhythm guitar and drums – and upload and share your tunes. World Tours adds a USB microphone and wireless drum set along with increased functionality to the guitars. The drum set is velocity sensitive - letting players alter the sound of the two toms, snare, the pair of symbols and the bass drum pedal. The included guitar features an additional touchpad which lets players alter the tone of sustained notes as well as supporting other methods of guitar play.

not as good as i expected, but still great.
- Pros: lots of songs. music studio can be fun. same great gameplay
- Cons: before i got this game, i was pretty excited. now its not realy a big deal. the drums are fun, but the red pad tends to not work sometimes. the guitar is good looking, and has a good feel to it, but the star power button sucks, its a little heavy, and it has a few other flaws. the gameplay on the guitar is basicly the same as in the other guitar hero's. the mic... the mic itself is okay nothin wrong there... but singing... you have to get your voice the EXACT pitch and tone as the songs.. the music studio isnt all its built up to be, so dont be too excited about it. there are lots of songs, but not too much of a variety. the career just isnt that good.
- Other Thoughts: now, with all its flaws, it all comes down to the gameplay, which like all the previous guitatar heros, is great. so if youre looking for a fun party game, or just somethin to pick up and play, you might wanna get this, but id look into rock band 2 first.
ps: i preordered this from the egg, then once it came out, they oversold it. i was likely not to recieve my copy for a few weeks, so i just cancelled my preorder and went and picked it up at walmart.

- Pros: Pure family pleasure. Works as advertised. Very easy to connect and use. Was able to network in a snap. Highest recomendation.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Newegg delivers again and again and again. Fast delivery and a great price.

Meh...
- Pros: Drum set is nice... I guess..
- Cons: Soundtrack is DEFINETLY weak compared to Rock Band 1/2, Downloadable Content pales in comparison to RB 1/2. I ordered both GHWT and Rock Band 2.. I sent GHWT Back, Rock Band 2 just outshines this game.
- Pros: Everything but the mic is WIRELESS!!!! Well put together, drums have rubber rims, guitar is crazy!!
- Cons: Are you kidding me
- Other Thoughts: I have a friend that has this on PS3 and is better on XBox360 because of wireless drums and guitar.
GHWT
- Pros: you have up to four ppl playing...
- Cons: let's see where to start...the guitar is ok, but it tends to freak out when you change the difficulty...and sometimes at random intervals...by freaking out, i mean, that the game thinks that you are just strumming without a care...the red pad on the drums only works in the three inch center...the mic is ok, but you have to be EXACTLY on pitch and timing...
- Other Thoughts: don't buy it...save your money for something else
