5 out of 5 eggsKid Loves It

Pros: Keeps the kids quiet for hours.

Cons: They didn't make it when I was a kid.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if I would have traded my Evil Knievel Stunt Cycle set for it.

3 out of 5 eggsI wouldn't suggest buying...

Pros: Great gameplay, fun club scenes as you scratch away. Smooth gameplay with fun controls. Great mixes and a wide array of customizable turntables, characters, headphones, etc. Really an innovative game.

Cons: Most of the songs begin to sound the same after a while, only a few really stick out and are a blast to play. The game gets extremely boring the closer you get to beating it. Controls are very difficult to get used to once you get into the Hard/Expert difficulty, and are almost impossible unless you have the reflexes of... well... a really fast reflex person. It gets a little ridiculous.

Other Thoughts: Overall I thought it was a great idea for a game, but the songs get repetitive, as do the motions. I purchased the game when it first came out, and now it's just collecting dust as I've moved on to Skate 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It captured my interest the first night I bought it, but I haven't truly played it since. Is it worth the 100 or so you pay for it? No. I would say borrow it from someone you know who has it (or rent it, if you can), and if you like it, buy it. I wouldn't suggest going out on a limb to get it, though. Hefty 3 stars for insight and innovation, and that's really about it.

1 out of 5 eggsOh my gosh...

Pros: Absolutely none

Cons: Not fun or an accurate simulation at all in any way.

Other Thoughts: I played this at a friends house a couple times and it is quite possibly the worst game I have ever played in my life. Not kidding...

4 out of 5 eggsNiche game that misses the masses.

Pros: -Controler is well-built and feels fairly solid
-You can swap the turntable to the left-hand side and still keep the slider properly orientated since it has ports on both sides
-Some of the songs are mixed with multipule others, you may hear Eminem's "My Name Is..." with Beck's "Loser" or Jay-Z's "HOVA"
-Mixes are very well done, some a little quirky, but still well done.
-Great fun

Cons: -Thinking your Guitar Hero skills will carry over will set you up for a world of hurt, the slider and scratches can make your brain spin in the later/harder levels.
-The selection of songs for the DJ/Guitar mode are fairly slim after beating a few sessions, was hoping to open the box and at least have a little fun with a friend on the Ax.
-Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice, Baby" mixed with MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This"... Really...

Other Thoughts: Outstanding, yet sometimes off-beat mixes and an intriguing new "instrument" for your console pretty much solidified this as a niche game, but there's a lot of fun to be had here. Tearin' it up with a friend on the guitar sounds like great fun, hopefully more content will open up. With the turntable the left "green" button is your left turn-table, the right "blue" button is the right and the red is your sample button. With the ability to place the turntable on either side of the main slider box, it'd be nice to see something in the future that allowed us to hook up two turntables on one controller. One's and Two's are fun indeed, but we're currently using just the one.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: The mixes are GREAT. I am very glad that they finally introduced a game pertaining to the faster growing genre of music.

Cons: This game snuck by the average Xbox user.

Other Thoughts: I had this game at a halloween party and we just played this as a playlist. Has something for everyone and the Guitar Duo is a perfect match for those who think they are too cool for the 1's and 2's
