2 out of 5 eggsdisappointing

Pros: -good voice acting
-good music
-decent graphics (nothing mindblowing but passable nonetheless)
-spending xp for mindreading adds an interesting dynamic

Cons: -unreasonable difficulty
-clunky character animations
-fighting system is bland and boring

Other Thoughts: I got the demo to this game and was impressed. I thought it was going to be a sleeper hit. It was a little rough around the edges but managed to be fun and interesting. But then I got the full game. Almost immediately after finishing the portion of the game that comprises the demo, the difficulty ramps from a reasonably moderate challenge to complete insanity. Even ignoring the mind reading abilities and rationing XP to level as much as possible, by the time you meet the first skeletons, they're going to take you down in 1-3 hits. You'll have to hit them 10-20 times. And they come at you in packs of 3-8 at time. And if they have bows or can cast magic, there's no way to dodge their attacks. So basically, you reload your game until you get lucky enough to draw only 1 or 2 at time, and then hope that you get a chance to use a potion before they hit you a second time. The dragon shooter portions are interesting but I only ever saw one. Bottom line: play Jade Empire instead.
