5 out of 5 eggsFallout 3 is one of the greatest games ever created

Pros: Fallout 3: Game Of The Year Edition (PC) is one of the greatest games on the Xbox 360 system. The company behind it is Bethesda, who is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, i.e. the name. The game takes place in the DC region so the developers have a high degree of realization of how things look within DC and the surrounding area.

The game is amazing and with the game of the year edition you get an amazing amount of content, I would say at least 200 hours of gameplay. So if you like RPG's this game is for you. Fallout 3: Game Of The Year Edition comes with some additional content. This includes:

- Operation: Anchorage - Enter a military simulation and fight in the liberation of Anchorage Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders.
- The Pitt - Travel to the post-apocalyptic remains of Pittsburgh and become embroiled in a conflict between slaves and their Raider masters.
- Broken Steel - Increase your level cap to 30 and finish the fight against the Enclave remnants alongside Liberty Prime.
- Point Lookout - Embark on a mysterious and open-ended adventure in a huge murky swampland along the coast of Maryland.
- Mothership Zeta - Defy hostile alien abductors and fight your way off the alien mothership orbiting miles above the Capital Wasteland

3 out of 5 eggsGreat price on a decent game.

Pros: Good amount of freedom for a modern game. Combat is satisfying if enjoyed through VATS, considering the real-time gunplay is subpar versus other FPS games.

Cons: Bad writing. Forgettable characters. Bethesda did their best in modernizing Fallout and making it relevant again. Unfortunately their interpretation of the license is mired in goofy and tired 1950s cliches.

Other Thoughts: It's a good product overall if the player can enjoy the game for it's combat systems and exploration, and ignore the sub-par characters and plot. Newegg offers this compilation for an EXCELLENT price. Super fast FREE shipping.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: It's a great game. The characters, weapons, locations, and enemies are quite interesting. The story is good depending on how deep you immerse yourself. The downloadable content provides nice journeys if you don't feel like playing the main story line.

Cons: It comes with two discs. You need to make sure you have plenty of room to spare on your Xbox 360 hard-drive if you wish to install all of the downloadable content. Expect to use 4 gigabytes. Once you have all the downloadable content installed on your hard-drive, the second disk is no longer needed. I assumed the downloadable content would already be in the original game itself. As for the game play, I got a headache playing it the first few times. This game is too open. In the beginning, there is no sense of direction, you just wander aimlessly searching for civilization. It can take you 5 minutes or 2 hours. This game is also considered to be the "buggiest" game ever created. Expect to see plenty of glitches and bugs as you begin to play.

Other Thoughts: It took 6 days for the game to get to my house (I went for the free shipping). Unless you live near the processing center, or paid for rush shipping, don't expect to get it the next day.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome fun

Pros: Great game!

Cons: [none noted]

Other Thoughts: Not a "pick up and play for an hour or so" game. Be ready to spend some serious time with this game ... it's worth it!

2 out of 5 eggsAdd-on packs don't work

Pros: I loved Fallout 3 on the PC and very much looked forward to having a chance to play the add-ons my aging PC wouldn't handle by the time I got to them. When I found out I was getting an Xbox 360, I immediately went out and bought this edition.

Cons: I received my new Xbox 360 4gb and was dismayed to be told by MS that I must shell out a great deal more money on their proprietary drive in 250gb if I ever want to play the add-ons I paid for in the GOTY edition! Or else I must pay again for the same content by download. External hard drive and flash drives will NOT work for the expanded content on the new Xbox!

Other Thoughts: I had been told by many that the only reason one really needs an Xbox 360 hard drive is if you download games or play online. Turns out to be entirely untrue for the new Xbox 360 S, which is convenient for them since only the largest and most expensive hard drive is out for that model.

5 out of 5 eggsIn My Top 5 Games of All Time

Pros: This is one of the greatest games that I have ever played. The content is endless. The graphics are beautiful (in a gloomy, post war way). The gameplay is top notch. Think of a video game where you can do anything you want. That game is Fallout 3 game of the year edition. Perfect in every way. The map is HUGE. Plus with the add-ons that are included, there are some additional maps. Just massive. Non-linear. Again, you can do whatever you want.

Cons: The game can get quite choppy at times. I think this is because it is loading so much stuff. Also I have had the game freeze up on me. The only way to resolve the freeze is to reboot the XBox. This can be worked-around by saving often (which is a good idea anyways). The enemy AI isnt that smart, but if you play on hard or very hard difficulty it makes up for the dumb pathing. Companion's can be tricky sometimes, but again if you save often you should be ok. The reason I mention companions is that they can sometimes get lost and do not show up where they are supposed to. To resolve this simply reload a previous save. The issues were definitely not enough to take away from my rating of the game. That should speak volumes for how great the game is.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the cons which are very minor in relationship to the quality of the game, this is a perfect RPG/FPS.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Game

Pros: I have played this game time and time again, it was great. I have beaten it over 11 times! You must buy this game, it is a necessity if you want to have fun on your XBOX 360

Cons: About 70 times, the game froze up on me, and all I had to do was buy a new disc. When I looked at the disc, it turns out my XBOX had etched small lines in the disc, damaging the disc somehow. I just replaced my CD Drive with a custom built one, and it has never frozen on me again!

Other Thoughts: Get the game of the year edition, save yourself about 50 bucks. By getting the GOTY edition, you will have all the DLC, whereas you have to spend the original 40 or so, plus 50 to get the DLC

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good game

Pros: I Haven't even passed the game yet and i am still not bored.
that's a good pro for me.

so much to explore. Alot of enemies. personalizing your character. Making any decision you want.

Cons: Well, its not happening anymore, but the game did freeze on me about ten times. that's the only con.

Other Thoughts: Buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsHours and Hours and on and on

Pros: It was said about this game that it is 100 plus hours of gameplay. It is true too. Sure you can finish the main game in a short time, but there's so much side content that you could play the same game for a month without restarting. The game is creepy and massively wild fights. The gameplay can be guns blazing or sneaking around. There's massive playability with this game.

Cons: 3rd person view is rough at best.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have this game, pick it up you'll not be sorry you did. I'm sure this will be a title I play for years and years to come.
