N/A 6/25/2010 5:04:51 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 3/5Mediocre Game... Pros: Shares the name and game mechanics of Lost Planet 1, but the similarities end there. It is fun in its own right some of the time, however don't expect it to be like its predecessor. The most fun part is when you are playing as the desert pirates and capture an enormous hovering weapons platform, but that unfortunately only lasts 1 episode and ends too soon. 75% of the chapters are repetitive missions where you just kill all enemies to complete it. Cons: I'm not sure if its been too long since i played the original Lost Planet, but the story in this game seems to be completely unrelated to the original, and there is practically no character development whatsoever. Normally in an action game this isn't really important, but the original game had a much more engaging story which made you feel like you were stranded in this snowy wasteland, and it was up to you to escape and stop the big bad corporation. This game is lacking that feeling though. The campaign jumps around between different characters, some much more than others, and it makes it impossible to get attached to any of them. The multiplayer is nothing noteworthy in my opinion, but it might not be for me. Other Thoughts: Not what I expected, and definitely suffers from sequel syndrome. Did you find this review helpful?
