It is September 1998 and the action centres on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak, developed at the Umbrella facility. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Meanwhile, the US Government has quarantined the city and dispatched its own team of elite soldiers to determine the source of the mysterious outbreak. You are an Umbrella Security Services soldier (U.S.S.), competing alone or in up to four player co-op in a battle against all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City. Expect the return of original Resident Evil enemies, iconic landmarks such as the Raccoon City Police Department and fan favourite characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, who, as a rookie police officer in Raccoon City, is on your hit list to eliminate.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it.

Pros: Zombies?

Cons: Gameplay, graphics, story. It's sad really, it had a lot of potential.

1 out of 5 eggsDull and repetitive

Pros: Characters with different skill sets, adds some story depth for fans of the franchise.

Cons: Frustrating gameplay, no replayability, poor graphics(compared with Resident Evil 5).

Other Thoughts: A very disappointing addition to the Resident Evil franchise.

4 out of 5 eggsSurvival horror missing?

Pros: -Great setting(re2,re3)
-Fun multiplayer
-Plenty of zombie action
-Interesting premise
-Plenty of weapons

Cons: -Short singleplayer, its lacking and very misleading from what was advertised. So there is nothing to change history wise.
-terrible AI in singleplayer(they'll stand and get burned by fire and hardly if ever take cover, and they CAN'T revive you)
-glitchy multiplayer(not always but it can happen)
-Lacks any sense of tension from the early games except the boss fights(even then you can get good players to help you instead of the bad AI)

Other Thoughts: Not a resident evil game no way, but if your looking for a fun multiplayer game with some cool ideas, i'd say its worth a rental that's it. If your a die hard collector of RE games you'll enjoy it for what it is, a fun stupid fan fiction with a heavy emphasis on action.

Just to point out that this game would have never been created if it wasn't for the series selling well when it was getting action heavy. I don't see much hope for re6 if the
re5 and this game is any indication. If you want RE to go back to its roots please don't buy any of the new re games. Because in the end this tells capcom to make even more sub par RE games with little to do with its roots as a survival horror game.

1 out of 5 eggsLove resident evil but this ones blows

Pros: Graphics are good, that about it

Cons: Didn't feel like a resident evil game, feels like a mass effect 3 type of game with a awful story. If your looking for a zombie survival look els where. Multiplayer is awful. Also the campaign is very short 6 chapters

Slant six killed this one, not. Not buying any more games from them.

Hopefully the resident evil 6 is just like 5. 5 was great.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: None

Cons: This is a cheap rip off of the Resident Evil franchise. Game play is like watching paint dry you have to run around long distances over and over. Auto saves take forever and there is no manual save function. There are no puzzles, keys, doors or mystery's . It almost feels like the zombie killing mode of RE5. The guns and hit registration are terrible. The recoil was so poorly done that the guns just flow in a straight line up as you fire. On top of all that single player mode pairs you up with 3 other AI characters that just run around and die all the time.

Other Thoughts: I loved RE2 and RE4 with all the puzzles and the big scavenger hunt thing that earned this game its reputation. If you enjoyed the game play of RE2,4. Code Veronica, or any of the older ones and think you are buying a similar game then think again. The only thing similar is the name.
