4 out of 5 eggsbig improvement over the original

Pros: -Frank West reprises his role as the main character.
-Has a sandbox mode that allows you to go anywhere in the game without care for time constraints, PP progress, $, and special costumes collected carry over to the main game.
-the load time between areas is WAY shorter than the original DR2.
-has a checkpoint system now. no need to worry about losing progress and restarting from your last save when you die or mess up.
-no more TIR mode
-on line coop is a lot better
-plot has been revised and the writing is a lot better so things make sense and aren't as nonsensical (the one thing in the original that did make sense makes even more sense now)
-has a completely new area to visit
-Frank not as obese as the videos/stills of the game make him out to be

Cons: - Capcom is essentially reselling you Dead Rising 2
- you can find and unlock the DLC costumes from the original Dead Rising 2 in game, but Capcom still wants to charge you extra for more DLC costumes
-the obvious cut and pasted stores/areas from Dead Rising 1 is still there despite new cosmetic changes for OtR.
-co-op parter still gets kicked from game if host saves.
-changed zombrex injection from every 12 hours to 24 which kinda begs the question 'what's the point'?

Other Thoughts: I didn't like Dead Rising 2 but Off the Record redeemed it for me. Its really good. The retail version of OtR is kinda hard to find now. Kinda kicking myself for not waiting a month after buying it and getting it here for $5 cheaper lol.
