James S. 4/24/2009 7:02:24 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 3/5One of the weakest entries into the Silent Hill series Pros: Combat and controls have received a complete overhaul from previous Silent Hill games and the awful inventory system from SH4 has been dropped. The story, while not even close to SH1 and 2, is still competent for a SH game. Cons: The traditional SH atmosphere just isn't there anymore. The new American developer (Double Helix) just couldn't replicate the same SH that Team Silent originally created. The scares feel gimmicky and predictable. It's mainly just having an enemy pop out at you while running down a dark hallway. Although its not terrible, it just is not up to par with previous entries into the series. Finally, the flashlight is not nearly bright enough which feels like a lame attempt by the developers to make the game feel darker and more claustrophobic. Most of the time it just makes combat more frustrating. Other Thoughts: Avoid the PC version of this game.
