During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice; unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible: The Secret Apprentice won't just Force push enemies into walls - he'll Force push enemies through walls; the Secret Apprentice won't just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he'll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader; visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility; decisions made by players throughout the game will determine the path of the story, including multiple endings that will rock Star Wars continuity as they know it; the Force Unleashed is LucasArts' first internally developed title for next-generation consoles, and it represents the first in-game collaboration of talents and technology between LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic, two companies now finally under one roof at the new Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio district.

Unleashing the Force is incredibly fun.
- Pros: This game is excellent, and most of the major critics reviewing it don't know what they're on about. I enjoyed this game thoroughly. The use of the Euphoria engine, the general fun of picking your enemies up and impaling them, and the crazy boss fights coupled with quick-time events provided a little over 10 hours of fun for me.
- Cons: There were some bugs to be found, and the fight with Kazdan Paratus tended to be buggy. However, none of the bugs were substantial enough to ruin the gameplay or make the game any less fun.
However, I did freeze a couple times on the return to Raxus Prime...but I think that was due to my 360 overheating.
- Other Thoughts: This game is worth it, in every aspect. It's a very fun game with an excellent storyline, with one ending being canon that gives you a whole new perspective on the series, the other being a "what if" situation. I'll let you play to find out what happens of course, but you'll love this game. Don't have second thoughts. You will a lot of fun and will probably play through several times.
Promising
- Pros: Played through the prologue and some of the 1st mission. Very cool to play as Darth Vader. I had an easy time using the force powers and even pulled off a combo where I force lifted a Jedi and then threw my lightsaber and he flew around with it stuck in him. Story is intriguing. It should be fun to find out more.
- Cons: Brand new game so it costs $60
- Other Thoughts: The AI is smart. They try to duck and dodge any objects that I throw at them. (when they can) The breakable objects didn't quite seem as real as they hyped about, but I still have much of the game to play to get a better judgment.

Good game for the fans
- Pros: Good Star Wars game for the fans. Best Star Wars game ever made. Come back to it over and over to play again.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: If you're not a Star Wars fan or really like Star Wars, this game might not be for you, but if you are, this will be a perfect edition.
Pretty Good
- Pros: Fun for a little while.
- Cons: No online or any type of deathmatch modes so the campaign gets boring rather quickly.
