When Emperor Uriel Septim VII is assassinated, the transdimensional gates between the world of Cyrodiil and the Planes of Oblivion open and the demonic Daedra invade. Your character is tasked to return the last surviving member of the Septim line, recover the Amulet of Kings and close the gates.
How you do this is entirely up to you as the world of Cyrodiil is not only lushly rendered using the latest next-gen graphics and lighting and shading effects, but it is vast and designed for non-linear sandbox play with dynamic weather and lighting. The Plane of Oblivion – the otherworldly home of the Daedra – is also given the same level of detail. Wilderness quests, ruins and dungeons await as do urban environments – all populated by NPC's utilizing the Radiant AI system which brings them to life.
Rather than having to repeatedly walk through the same areas, rideable horses have returned as has the ability to teleport back to areas your character has already visited. Stealth, magic and combat skills have been rebalanced with combat skills streamlined. Missile attacks are now resolved based on actual hits and characters can actively block incoming enemy attacks with a successful block causing the foe to recoil – and creating the opportunity for an attack of your own. Additional content, equipment and missions can be downloaded to aid your quest. This Game of the Year Edition brings together the award-winning game along with the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions which offer new lands, new opponents, new quests and more adventure.
Pros: To start off... I was taken by the extreme detail of everything. While the PC version definitely trumps the 360 version, it is still beautifully done.
Extremely open ended game play, yet still quest series (excellent ones at that) that gives those that want direction something to do.
This game really is open to many playing styles.
Cons: Melee fighting was a bit redundant, and somewhat uninteresting at times.
Not enough voice actors.. (you might find me a little picky but since most people will put over 300 hours into game place you would expect them to use more than 1 - 2 voice actors for each race)
Spell Appearances never changed despite increased intensity. Though the new spells did more and were usable, It didn't give me much motivation to use higher level spells since I didn't have new eye candy to look at while casting them.
Other Thoughts: Overall I still give this game a 5/5. Its definitely a lot of fun especially if you like treasure hunting and exploring.

Pros: This game is very addicting, if you love/like the whole Fantasy World thing then get this game for sure. Its feels like a mixture of World of Warcraft and the Lord of the Rings. There are ALOT of quests so youll easily put in hours and hours of gameplay if you have never played this before.
Cons: No online Multiplayer. No Dwarves as a playable class. :[

Pros: Lots of play time; you won't get bored. This is a great deal too considering the two largest expansion packs for this game are included. Loads of customization to suit any style of play. I thought it was better than Fallout 3. This really should be a definite buy for any 360 owner.
Cons: Some frame rate issues, and NPC voices get repetitive. Also, for people into cinematics. there's not a whole lot of that in this game.
Other Thoughts: Just buy it. It's a great deal.

Pros: Fantastic RPG, looks amazing for when it came out, good time killer.
Cons: This con is small but anoying, the expansion wont work unless your oblivion is updated. If it is the oridgonal version it might patch with the expansion disk, and it might not. I emailed bethesda and they tryed to help but the patch on the expansion disk would not install. So I could not play the expansions. (Still cant) But this is only because I don't have a home internet connection. Not really there fault, but I am still disapointed

Pros: I already owned Oblivion (Collector's Edition) on 360, but this upgrade was well worth the money. If you don't already have Oblivion and you're interested, get this one. As for added content: KOTN is good, but Shivering Isles is incredibly awesome and really adds a lot to the game.
Cons: Wish it had all the DLC for Oblivion. Also, the game is admittedly buggy as hell, even after the patches which supposedly come on the disc (but I had to get via XBox Live for some reason), but the awesome so outweighs the bug-induced frustrations that it doesn't really matter.
Other Thoughts: I've sunk hundreds of hours into Oblivion across 3 different characters--it's insanely good, and the closest thing to playing D&D you can get in a video game--so far. :-) Can't wait for the next game in the series. Meanwhile, I'll continue playing this and go through Morrowind again, this time on PC with all expansions and (now free) DLC.
