In Over G Fighters, a terrorist organization threatens the world’s peace and security as players take to the skies in a united world air force. Players command more than 30 of the most powerful jet fighters ever conceived and battle for air superiority in massive dogfights in the skies above Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Players combat enemies in the air and on the ground with challenging and dangerous strike missions against well defended targets deep in the heart of hostile territory.

Fly the world’s most powerful fighters: Fly every modern jet fighter in the Western arsenal including the F-22A Raptor, the US air superiority fighter of the 21st century. Face more than 90 Western and former Soviet enemies and get in the cockpit of the F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16C Fighting Falcon, F/A-18C Hornet, Su-27 Flanker, MiG-29A Fulcrum, and F-117A Nighthawk. Attempt more than 80 intense missions in a modern-day global conflict: Players take the fight to the enemy in aerial battles all over the world and face massive, challenging missions with interlocking sub-missions. After successfully completing the sub-missions, players will attack the most challenging primary mission objective.

Check six: With 360-degree cockpit views from realistic, highly detailed and functional instrumentation. Players will feel the G-forces and hear the roar of jet engines in 5.1 channel stereo as they ignite the after burner. Get right into the action: Kick the tires and light the fires! Players can jump right into the action and instantly engage in dogfights either one-on-one or in massive dogfighting “furballs.” Flight data recorder: Players can save their combat triumphs and learn from their defeats by recording and replaying their aerial exploits. Xbox Live online gaming service for up to eight players online: Engage in head-to-head dogfights or cooperative team play between squadrons on huge detailed maps with varied geographies.

1 out of 5 eggsWORST GAME EVER MADE...

Pros: average graphics...

Cons: Horrible mission play, un-realistic gameplay. Even basic things than a prop. plane could do this game won't let you with a F-16. It's ridiculous. You finish like three missions and then you go through a map but to get from part of the mission map to another you have to keep repeating the same missions over and over again. AI if you can call it that is sporatic and ridiculously stupid.

3 out of 5 eggsWait for a Better Game

Pros: Graphically, it looks good. Various aircraft actually have different flight characteristics. Full mission replays are cinematic quality. Scenery looks great. Unlocking new jets comes pretty frequently, but you'll find yourself using the same one or two regularly.

Cons: If anime junkies tried to make a 360 jet combat game, this would probably be it. Quirky English translations. Typical electric guitar ballad-type theme songs. The games characters are represented by 2D drawings. After you beat a mission, you have to select "End Game" or else the replay plays over & over. No split-screen. An "airshow mode" or "free-flight" would have been nice. AI inconsistancies: you can be shot down 10 seconds into a mission then run the same mission again without a scratch. Then there's always those grueling "circles of death" with the last enemy fighter, round and around and around and around.... Terrain looks good untill you get close, FS'98 had better textures. Can't play your saved playlists over the game's 5 louzy tracks. Instruction manual is about as usefull as a brain tumor; does anyone know how to use the friggin' guided bombs??? All it says is "Hold A"... yeah? Then what?!?! Oh yeah, and the image is a bit too big for a standard t.v.

Other Thoughts: I really can't believe Ubi put their name on this product. I bought this game because it looked good and I haven't played a game like it since the original "Air Combat" on the PS. It's very similar to that series. I wanted a "flight sim" & it was either this or that awful "Blazing Angels".
