Sounded Great when they worked.
- Pros: They sounded great when the signal was there.
- Cons: I sit about 8-12 feet from my bigscreen tv (plasma) where all my electronics were and the audio kept cutting out. After going to the tech support site they suggested moving the device as far as I could from the x box because of the wireless signal interfering with the headphone signal. At times it would work but come 5:00 when all the wireless networks in the neighborhood fired up the signal would cut out every 10 seconds. After moving around my setup as much as I could to put it on its own island I gave up and returned them.
- Other Thoughts: 2.4 GHZ band is littered with devices which overpower this one.
Go with the X41
- Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, great sound, easy to set up
- Cons: Reliability--After a month of use one of the speakers made a loud pop and now it makes a very audible buzz when I use, so much that I have retired to my old stereo headphones. I don't know if this is the case for all of them, but from my research, it certainly isn't rare. If you decide to by these here or somewhere else, get a warranty if possible- you'll be glad you did. Another minor thing is that the cable that connects to the controller is prone to failure due to the connector.
- Other Thoughts: When I had them, these were the best. It is hard to get the chat and game sound in the same headset for $200 and also be wireless. My advice is go with the X41. For an extra $30 it has better sound, batteries last longer, more reliable chat cable, and a couple other cool features.
- Pros: Well built
- Cons: Batteries, low sound, not surround sound like they said it would be. This is obviously not newegg's fault, it is the maker of the headphones (Voyetra) Shipping took a bit longer with these.. took an extra day even with next day delivery, newegg did not refund my money. :l
