4 out of 5 eggsNice but pricey

Pros: -Excellent directional sound for gaming
-Works with Xbox, PS3 and PC (with a bluetooth adaptor)
-Very Comfortable
-Excellent mic that is replaceable
-Can take calls on your cellphone while gaming

Cons: -Price
-No rechargeable battery
-Lacking in bass, but not really what they are for
-Range is not great
-Can be a pain to switch between different bluetooth pairings
-Certain wireless routers seem to interfere with these

Other Thoughts: I got these as a christmas gift. The ability to detect footfall direction is awesome and they seem to be very well made. Did not get 5 eggs because of price, range, and the fact that the bluetooth (for wireless chat) is a bit of a pain to switch pairings. I actually had to turn off my PC and Cell phone when trying to get it to pair with my Xbox after it had been paired with my PC. At $200 they are much more attractive than at $300.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible experience

Pros: Concept, design, sound clarity

Cons: Where to begin... When I initially purchased this item from a large retail store, I was very impressed. However, it only took a few hours to make me hate this thing. Initially the popping and crackling started. Then the audio would cut out at random times. I attempted to contact Turtle Beach and I am not under the impression that they do not have customer service. I sent 2 e-mails within a weeks time and never heard from them. After a little research online, I found out that you cannot run these wireless headphones any where near a wireless (G) router. Even if your neighbor has one, it will make the headphones very annoying. I disconnected my router, only to find out it was receiving interference from other routers in my neighborhood.

Other Thoughts: It is a great idea, but Turtle Beach needs to go back to the drawing board and come up with a different type of wireless transmitter/receiver for these things so they don't receive interference from common household items such as a router. They may even might want to consider getting a customer service department that responds to emails in a timely manner.

2 out of 5 eggsNot as I hoped

Pros: Turtle Beach. Well made (cosmetic) the nice designs pull from the game it self. Fit like a glove, and can't really tell they are on your head.

Cons: Ok,,
Dont know if i just got a bad one out of the box but here we go...

Static, major static... tried different locations of the recever, nothing, tried different digital cables nothing. Drops out when only 8ft away. Chat cable (xbox 360) i tuch the cable i get a high pitch noise (sounds like a train blowing its horn) static pops. So i tried the BT adaptor same effect. Tried a different chat cable, reproduced the same problem.

I was happy as i have the PX21 W/Dss box and loved them only thing they are wired, so i got these to go wireless.. So will be getting ahold of Newegg as I called/emailed TB and haven't heard back and well for $300 you shouldn't have these issues.

Other Thoughts: Don't get me wrong Turtle Beach is a great company, I think i just got a bad head set, and at this price point, I shouldn't have gotten one.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: *Fully Wireless
*Bluetooth for xbox 360, ps3, ipod, and phones
*Excellent simulated surround sound
*Great fit

Cons: *Sound cuts out every so often from wireless interference (2.4ghz router and phones)
*Lacking Bass

Other Thoughts: I have an expensive Home Theater setup, and I can say for certain that these headphones provide better surround positioning and ambient noise than my Home Theater. While these headphones cannot match the thundering bass and overall sound quality of the theater, they do a great job in immersing you in the action. They also do a great job of noise cancelling.

Sound does cut out from wireless interference every so often, but the sound is always crystal clear, never a hiss. The lack of decent bass is a big downer for headphones at this price point with 50mm drivers, but surround positioning is top notch.

These work extremely well when dual paired to an ipod or android phone as well. I love being fully wireless, and no other headset (PX500 or EFD) does this along with Bluetooth pairing. Bluetooth sound isn't quite the same quality as wired would be, but it is still pretty good. You also have the option to use wired chat if need be.
