Turtle Beach X12 XBOX 360 Headset

Pros: Sound quality is good, it makes your ears shake and rattle!

Cons: Even though this was a refurbished model. I knew I had a 50/50 chance it would be defective. The odds were agaisnt me this time. Everything worked fine until I toyed around with the microphone.

The microphone has HORRIBLE sound quality. My old Logitech G330 sound is far more superior to this. I was shocked since Turtle Beach is claiming to be top notch. The sound pics up everything and on top of that, the microphone playback sounds like I am talking with a stuffy noise. Really mono-tone as well.

Other Thoughts: I have to RMA this product and hopefully the second one will work. If not, I will have to go with another headset company! I am giving you a 2nd chance Turtle Beach, don`t let me down :)

Pros: Cheap. Sounds good. Mic is decent. Long cord (pro and con).

Cons: Broke after 3 months. Earpiece on left ear is broken and cord is hanging from that side now. Worthless since warranty is only for 30 days. Had a cheap pair of logictech ones for $20 that lasted a lot longer.

Other Thoughts: Dont buy referb'd. Not sure if quality is the same as the new ones but after this I wont buy Turtle Beach again.

Pros: better sound, batterys don't die quick.

Other Thoughts: Had these for over a month, normally I don't even do reviews used them for my PC. I can say I bought them in new condition second hand. Had them less then 2 months.

The cord was too long/flimsy. They bound up a lot today when I pulled them out the cord just snapped off near the headphone end. Waste of money.

Pros: Great price, came in great shape. Son uses them for chatting on minecraft.

Cons: Foam isnt as soft as X31, but no issues after a few hours.

Pros: Now that I have working ones I have to say there is nothing wrong with them. cord length is great (maybe too long), controls are logically laid out and easily accessed, sound is really good.

Cons: The only con I have is the first two that arrived were non-working. Newegg RMA'd them quickly - no complaints from that end! They were a b'day present to my twins- a bit of a let-down, but they love them now that they have 2 good pairs.

Other Thoughts: My wife likes that the gaming is quieter, but sehe also dislikes it since she cannot hear all that is going on. I love the headsets. They adjust easily and sound great.

Pros: $20 off for refurbished unit. Overall low cost. No need for batteries. multi-funtion volume and mute control switch is nice, mic cable from controller goes to the control switch rather than the headset(where it can be pulled out easily). Headset does have some sound quality and directionality. black and green color.

Cons: one decent sized scratch and ripples is the foam cushion indicate the unit is refurbished. cushions are stiff aginst my head/ears. sound quality is aweful compared to my beat up ol' x31's. I can hear myself talk, there is a buzzing sound when I turn up the mic volume enough to hear other players. the mic does not always pick up the chat from other players. white barcode sticker stands out on the L headset that voids my warrenty if removed.

Other Thoughts: I bought these to replace a set of worn out x31's that I've had for years, I loved my x31's, great sound for COD, I did get tired of putting batteries in it so I hardwired an ac/dc adapter to it. after 2-3 years the mic cord was damaged so I bought a cheap replacement(because turtlebeach was out of the OEM replacements) that failed within a year. after all the beating I put my x31's through, the speaker in the r side of the headset because loose, and I can hear it bouncing around when I move sometimes, but even with all the wear and tear, my x31's still sound better, feel better, and work better than these new x12's, the ol x31's have none of the problems I listed under cons.

Pros: Great usb that does what it's suppose to. Super light. Has a key ring and flattens out to protect usb interface connection.

Cons: Too small. I misplaced it. Hard to find again.

Other Thoughts: Great if you want to tuck in a wallet.

Pros: - Good sound quality
- Bass Boost
- Can't even tell that it was refurbished

Cons: - Talkback cable is a little on the flimsy side.
- Bass boost isn't all that good

Pros: I bought this headset as my first seeing the low price. At first I was skeptical about them being refurbished, but after they arrived they were much better than expected. All the parts looked new, and the sound in crystal clear. They are very comfortable as well.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a first time headset this is a great buy.
