iPhone 4S, the most amazing iPhone yet, is packed with new features like Apple’s dual-core A5 chip for even more power, an advanced and faster 8 megapixel camera with all-new optics and full HD 1080p video recording, and Siri, an intelligent assistant that helps you get things done just by asking.
You’ll do everyday things in extraordinary ways on iPhone 4S. Take amazing photos and shoot HD video. See your friends and family with FaceTime. Browse the web on the Retina display. Check email. Send messages. Set reminders. Check calendars. Or just ask Siri to help you get things done — it figures out the right apps to use.
iPhone 4S also ships with iOS 5 - the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, with over 200 new features - and iCloud. iCloud stores your music, photos, documents, and more and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices. Automatic, effortless, and seamless — with iCloud, whatever’s on your iPhone 4S is automatically on your other devices, too.
Far from perfect
Pros: The screen is bright and vibrant. The UI is just as fluid as ever. Switching between apps has never been this fast and easy. If you're familiar at all with iOS products you will instantly be familiar with this product. Performance is amazing. Call quality is clear. The camera is one of the best there is on any smartphone to date.
Cons: The interface is amazing but only somewhat customizable. You can change the background for both the main screen and the standby screen. The main screen is not dynamic like most Android devices. Siri is fun but impractical and imperfect. I feel like she's just screwing with me most of the time. If you're planning on owning one of these you need to purchase a case and possibly a screen protector. The aluminum frame around the shell scratches and chips very easily. DO NOT DROP! The overall design is fundamentally flawed as both the front and back of the phone are pieces of glass. One short drop and SMASH!!! The battery performance (at first) is atrocious. You're lucky to get a full day out of it.
Other Thoughts: I haven't used Bluetooth for anything yet but I do know some people who have and they have no complaints. It's a great device. I upgraded from a Sharp Kin TWOm with a 2nd gen iPod Touch. I carried both of those devices around for almost a year. Needless to say it was time for an upgrade. I've never had a phone that required a data pack but now that I have one it's going to be hard to switch back. I like being connected all the time but the fact is that I don't NEED to check my email or facebook feed at any given time of the day. It is nice to be able to do that but I work at a computer that's connected to a faster connection and I'm hardly ever out of walking distance from one. I wish that this phone didn't required a data pack. In this day and age almost everywhere you go has free WiFi and this phone does that without an extra fee. You can turn off data to restrict yourself from overages but you can't activate it without a data pack. That's just Verizon screwing everyone.
