Cons: no removable storage, made by apple, ios, specs are not even close to some of mid end Android devices, only dual core, lack luster screen, lightning connector, small screen, looks unappealing, expensive, 1gb of ram? palease. made by apple, need I go on? apple is so far behind its rivals from android, and really, even windows phones.

Pros: The 5 is Apple's best phone yet, and easily among the best devices on the market today. The design is beautiful and the form factor makes it very easy to operate with a single hand. Siri is also very helpful, allowing the phone to read texts to you (ie if you're on the road) as well as allowing you to dictate a reply without ever touching the keyboard. The device is NOT fragile like some would lead you to believe, in fact mine has dropped from my desk or nightstand a few times and there is not a scratch or dent on it - despite the fact I do not use a case. LTE service around central Texas is among the fastest, and often times outpaces my home Internet connection speeds. The Apple designed A6 processor is also incredibly efficient, allowing for performance that is best in its class, as well as low power/heat. Apple also pairs the A6 with 1gb of ram, though some devices have that or more, Apple utilizes LPDDR2 1066mhz vs LPDDR2 800 in other devices. Apple also licenses graphics technology from Imagination Technologies in the form of the triple core PowerVR SGX 543MP3 which is the fastest on the market, outpacing everything from Tegra, Adreno, and Mali designs, with exception to some of the very latests designs that will land in phones in the middle of 2013. Such custom silicon allows the 5 to offer over 10 hours of wifi browsing, and over 8 hours of LTE browsing. Even the new Galaxy S4 barely manages 6.5 hours wifi and 5.7 hours on cellular data. Apple cannot be beaten in terms of efficiency and battery life. Having more battery power, means the device is more usable on a day to day basis.

Cons: Cons are few and far between but the most obvious is a subtle purple halo that appears when taking photos into direct light. Obviously that is a bad idea to begin with, and being smart about your positioning before snapping a picture leads to better quality anyway.Also the introduction of the Lightning connector is hardly a con, Apple provides you with the cable and you can still plug it into existing power adapters or car chargers that allow you to use USB ports. This is Apple's first interface change since the first devices appeared in the 2000s. Other manufacturers had swapped port styles with very new generation before micro USB took hold. Heck some Samsung tablets (10" Galaxy for instance) do not even use micro UsB but. A propriety 30-pin connection.really the only other cons I could point out would effect the vast majority of devices that compete.

Other Thoughts: The previous reviewer is clearly biased and would rather invent excuses than pay attention to reality. Fact is the App Store has more apps and at better prices than Google Play or microsoft's app stores. Sounds more like he is unable to hack this devices and pirate apps, which is hardly a con. Some of us like to support developers and not steal their work. The in-house designed A6 offers better performance and efficiency than all the cookie cutter SoCs used by other manufacturers. Battery life is awesome, the screen is beautiful and fully calibrated from the factory. You don't need to be an Apple zealot to recognize how good this phone is.

Other Thoughts: I really hate this thing, it would be okay if it were $200 without a contract but this is ridiculous! It breaks often, if you drop it (which you will), it has a high chance of breaking and even if your'e careful and don't drop it, it has a lot of software problems. Not EVERYTHING is bad about this though, but you should NOT buy this.
