Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered “tampered with” or “defective”.

5 out of 5 eggsA great smartphone without breaking the bank

Pros: -Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional is a very functional and practical Phone/PDA OS. It has so much functionality, practicality, and available programs.
-Battery Life good for a smartphone. Easily gets me through a day without needing a charge, where the LG Incite I returned did not. At the end of a day, I usually have 40-65% remaining, though I don't use 3G. I do use Wi-Fi a bit, though.
-I love the physical design of the phone. It is a great size, comfortable to hold, and has a good keyboard.
-Screen is sharp with good colors
-Build quality seems good. I have already dropped it about 5ft onto wood floors, and not even a scratch.
-Thin, light, compact
-3.5mm headphone jack, all the wireless connections, very practical stuff.
-Great phone for a business person.

Cons: -Windows Mobile 6.1 is very functional and practical, but it visual looks dated compared to the iPhone and Android. However, there are customization software like SPB Mobile Shell. It also doesn't come with gesture support out of the box. Windows Mobile needs a makeover. There is 6.5, but not many devices have it yet, and those that do are 2-4x the Palm Treo Pro's price.
-Video playback capabilities need improvement. The screen isn't quite large enough to really enjoy video, but most of all, the Qualcomm CPU just doesn't have the capabilities to smoothly render video. It's usable, and it depends on your player and codec, but compared to the similarly clocked xScale devices I've used, it's a bit laggy.
-Camera is mediocre for a smartphone. The worst part is no flash, so it fails indoors. The video camera is such a low FPS, it's essentially useless.
-

Other Thoughts: Considering there are no good unlocked alternatives in the sub-$300 price range, this is a great phone. It packs a lot of stuff into a small package that has almost no bulk. Sure, I'd love it to have a 3.5" screen with a slide out keyboard, but it adds a lot of bulk, complexity, and price.

I really only wish 2 things for this phone: Windows Mobile 6.5 and more performance, especially for multimedia.

I don't use video much, so it's not a deal breaker. The practicality of the phone and other positives make up for this.

Don't be tricked by the LG Incite. It looks so good on paper, but it is a piece of junk!

4 out of 5 eggsThe best Treo

Pros: Combines the ease of use of the Palm OS and Windows Mobile 6. Pretty solid PDA/Phone and the added WiFi (finally!) is nice. Easy integration with MS Outlook and kwerty keyboard make this a perfect device for business. Easy to configure email (pop, imap or Exchange).

Cons: Wifi sometimes disconnects (not sure why), camera is average (don't need it for business anyway), browser is so-so.

Other Thoughts: I have owned Treo's since they first came out - have had every model and this one is by far the best one. I'm sorry it didn't catch on & may be discontinued soon. The new Palm web OS on the Pre & Pixie is not business focused & only with Sprint. So sad :(

5 out of 5 eggsLove It

Pros: Very nice phone. Looks Great. Windows Mobile so its really compatible, just plug into Windows 7 and you're up and running. Good set of built in productivity apps. Unlocked. No carrier bloatware. Touch screen. No problems with call quality. Internal microSD slot (pro for me). Replaceable battery. Useful features such as a wi-fi button and silencer button.

Cons: Obviously the standard Windows Mobile interface is no good. Camera is only 2mp I believe, not that great. Fingerprint magnet.

Other Thoughts: Skinned mine with spb mobile shell 3. 100x better now, much more touch friendly. I love this phone but it's hard to recommend it with Windows Mobile 7 coming next year.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING PHONE!!

Pros: This phone is amazing. The user-ability is just great. I have never owned a Windows mobile.. the Palm's I've had in the past were Palm OS.. I do like how easy it is to do simple tasks on the Windows mobile. The keys are more like a mix from a Centro and an older Treo, but for me still works fine. I am a bigger guy, 6'2".. 225llbs.. so it's not like I have tiny fingers. I glady took my iPhone off the network for this bad boy of cell phone technology. However, if you go from an iPhone to any other phone, make sure AT&T or whatever network you are on doesn't mess up your plan. It took me a few days to get my picture mail working properly since they still had an iPhone as my phone, even after I called them and told them my new phone and IMEI number.

Another thing I have heard on reviews were fingerprints.. not true.. This phone is not bad at all, especially compared to an iPhone.

Last but not least.. customization is great!!!!! You will not be unhappy.

Cons: None.. just a sweet phone to have. Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

2 out of 5 eggsBe careful

Pros: Great form factor, fast processor, incredible audio. Bluetooth implementation is the best I have ever used! It certainly does have a huge "WOW!" factor!

Cons: The cases are cracking at an alarming rate. Check the discussion threads at treocentral.com Plam wants $400 deposit to swap it out, and it takes up to 30 days to get your money back. Palm won't fix it without this extra payment, and many of us don't have $400 laying around for this. Newegg won't help, so it is pretty much a bad thing to buy it here. In fact, I would NOT buy one now, knowing what I know, until Palm fixes the case issue. I have several cracks in mine, around butons.

Other Thoughts: I really love the phone, but Palm and Newegg are not helpful unless you want to spend another $400. Like I said, I love the phone, but hate the cheap plastic they sued in the design.

5 out of 5 eggsbest winmo phone out there right now

Pros: You've got to know what you're getting into with windows mobile: A phone that can do almost everything, but not in a particularly elegant manner. But, if you do a feature comparison of all the phones on the market you'll find this one has the most complete set of features out there right now.

Cons: I tried the Treo 800w before this, and the GPS on that unit was much, much better (almost instant fix). I think the difference is the carrier support via the aGPS on the 800w. In comparison, my pro needs at least a minute to get a fix even with a clear view of the sky. Palm does include an application called "quickGPS" that helps speed up the fix, but it still doesn't compare to the 800w.

Also, the windows mobile OS still seems to be best used with a stylus, which is unfortunate. I can get by without using my stylus 95% of the time, but every once in a while you get hit with a small drop down box or some kind of dialog that's just too small for your finger.

Other Thoughts: Solid battery life.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Phone Available, blah iPhone!

Pros: Lets start with a get better signal than with any other phone on AT&T!

WiFi, GPS, FULLY Customizable OS, MP3 Player, Video Player, Camera w/ Video, MMS!, install the free opera mini and you have the faster web browser! :), A FILE SYSTEM (you can actually work with ANY files and use WiFi for more than just internet!), Office Mobile!, Did I mention fully customizable (you can install hundreds to millions of FREE apps and even some great paid ones!, you can install a Torrent program!!, replaceable battery!!!, any ringtone you want! without paying!!!, memory capacity up to 32GB or more with Micro SDHC!!!!, a real keyboard!!! (type faster than with an onscreen keyboard!)

The list really goes on, this is the only phone that should be sold in the world. Palm is the best, and Windows Mobile is the best.

Cons: The only thing I could think of, is no smiley face pictures in texting!

Other Thoughts: I am a phone changer and change phones A LOT. I think I actually found MY PHONE. I can stick with this phone for probably a year or two OR MORE! I'd suggest getting one of these, and learning all the ins and outs, and just enjoying being unlimited in what you can do!
