3 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

Pros: just the ones listed previously. I have noticed the phone to have pretty good sound as an MP3 player running through my car stereo. I'm getting used to having one device to replace separate things (MP3 player, phone, PDA, maps, etc...) and am really loving the convenience.

Cons: The phone can be slow to respond at times. If you are new to smart phones it won't bother you too much. The reason I am writing another review is that the SD card has started randomly 'un-mounting' itself and I can't figure out why. It doesn't happen constantly, but every day or two, I will lose access to everything on the card. Rebooting the phone usually brings the SD card back into contact, but not always. Physically removing and re-inserting seems to have no impact. As another guy said, the GPS seems to take forever to acquire a lock.

Other Thoughts: I still think this phone is a good value for the money. Just adjust your expectations.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent phone for the money

Pros: Solid android phone. Slide out keyboard if you are into that. Much cheaper (less than a third of what AT&T sells this phone for on their website). It's a nice upgrade from a feature phone and my AT&T go phone Sim card went right in. Now I can text and call for cheap and only use data over wifi. :) I'll pass this phone to one of my kids when I can afford a Nexus 4.

Cons: Pre-installed apps eat up almost all memory and can't be deleted or moved to your SD card. As other's have mentioned, the battery dies quickly. Make sure to kill all tasks when you are not using the apps. The predictive text is horrible when typing, it isn't even close most of the time. The plastic touch screen is a bit slow to respond at times and is a finger print collector, but hopefully it won't shatter like a glass screen. I don't like the action on the physical keyboard. I find myself making more mistakes with it than using the touch screen keypad. But it is nice to have in a couple of occasions. The onscreen keypad takes up so much of the tiny screen, that it can be hard to go back and edit text. Using the slide out keyboard dramatically increases your text entering area. The other nice thing is the direction arrows on it. This makes going back to edit text much easier.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat inexpensive no-contract smart phone

Pros: Great phone for the price. Good reception when compared to my LG. Rooted to unlock a ton of extra apps and tools. Decent GPS navigatoin. Wifi range and speed is alright. Plays media smoothly. Love the keyboard.

Price + features = really like.

Cons: Battery life is not the greatest. GPS can take a bit of time to acquire a lock. At the time of this review, I cannot find an actual case for the phone.

Other Thoughts: Purchased another battery for a spare for only a $6. First phone from Sharp. Will update review when used for 6+ months.
