2 out of 5 eggsLimited Internal Storage

Pros: < Low Cost
< Stock-ish Android. Better than Touchwix or any of that annoying stuff.
< Small, lightweight
< Not terrible display
< Not terrible battery life
< Not terrible reception

Cons: < Not low enough cost, for you get/have to deal with
< Internal storage is so limited, just having a few basic apps like Facebook and Pandora quickly fills up space. This is of course with all music and photos stored on microSD.
< Develops strange and random symptoms as memory gets full
< Random reboots, lockups

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend

< Voice quality ok

4 out of 5 eggsAcceptable phone

Pros: I had dropped this phone on the floor for more than 100 time and it's still unbreakable. And there will be no heart attack because of the price

Cons: You need to spend about $10 for the memory card for 8 GB that is good enough for pictures storage and some mp3 to go.

Other Thoughts: I sold my Iphone 5 for this because the Iphone was totally wasted of money and came with bad reception from many occasion.

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the price

Pros: Nice display, good feature set, OK camera, good price, LTE speed.

Cons: Low level of internal memory.

Other Thoughts: A nice phone if you don't want to install a large number of apps or games that require a lot of storage space. The phone works well, the display is attractive and bright and the camera takes reasonably good photos if the light is good.

1 out of 5 eggsLG does not honor warranty

Pros: none

Cons: I don't see any way to update my previous review from 11/24/14, so I am writing this update about poor LG Service.

This is about USB port (charging) issue on my phone after just 3 weeks of normal usage.

I sent my phone to LG for repair a few weeks ago, but as another customer (Victor T.) reported too, I got email from LG Service USA today stating that my phone is not under warranty. That sounds like a canned answer to extort more money from customers. They cite "Corrosion on receptacle" as the problem and asking $45 to repair it.

This is utter nonsense, my phone was never exposed to water. Also, they do not pay attention to the fact that USB cable can not enter the port. Would corrosion cause that ? After just 3 weeks of usage ?

I will pursue all available legal options against LG and will NEVER EVER buy anything from LG again.

Other Thoughts: LG is not honest seller. If there was no issue on my phone and this experience with their customer service, I would never know what they really are. Do you trust them ?

5 out of 5 eggsCan make great phone for $115

Pros: BATTERY LIFE!! - Phone Battery life is great.

Overclocked to 1.4 GHz vs. 1.2 ghz using Freedom Kernel. Went from about 14,000 to 16,500 on AnTuTu benchmark. After OC about same benchmark as a samsung galaxy S3.

Only comes with 4 gig internal. Used Link2SD and 32 gig class 10 external memory card cost about $15.

Takes some work. But I enjoy messing/playing with my technology.

Cons: 4 gig will most likely not be enough memory if you install many apps. If you don't want to mess with rooting your phone & Link2SD - probably best to buy a higher end phone with 8 gig of memory.

Other Thoughts: Battery lasts a long time - would be good basic phone or a phone that you want to play with rooting/overclocking.

3 out of 5 eggsGood phone for the price, but requires some efforts...

Pros: Price - pretty much can't be beat for the functionality
Size - it doesn't feel like a shovel or like an undersized tablet, but comfortably sits in hand
Performance - If you have limited number of apps installed, it will perform really fast, much faster than more expensive models from other reputable manufacturers
Sound quality - YES, this might sound funny, but it is significantly better than sound quality of Samsung phones I had before. Over the year I replaced all of them with this LG and hope for them to last for at least a couple of years
Battery life - and again, compared to Samsung, I forgot what it means to have a charger on me all the time - it's just amazing. Lots of kudos to LG engineers who made this possible

4G Frequency range is quite universal - I expected it to be unable to work on 4G speeds in Russia (and in Europe in general due to a slightly different frequency range used there compared to North America), but it performs with no issues at all with at least 2 out of 4 major cell phone operators I tried.

Cons: Internal storage / Available space / Storage Memory - this is pretty much the only issue with this model I noticed, but hell it is a BIG issue! (Dear Engineers, please return all kudos I gave you for battery life back to me and you'll still owe me some more for someone's "bright" idea to have a 1Gb or so system storage space in a smartphone in 2013-2014. This is a joke!)

It is only partially a phone's fault as recently inexperienced Android app developers have gone crazy and the average storage consumed by an app increased dramatically! I still remember times when pretty sophisticated apps (like GPSTest) required less than 0.5Mb of storage space. Now you download a banking app that pretty much does nothing (or almost nothing) specific compared to a plain mobile website with online banking and it will eat ~40-50 Mb of storage. Does it contain Encyclopaedia Britannica inside?!

Good news is that there are very good recipes to overcome this issue with reallocating microSD storage space to system needs (though they might require doing certain questionable things to the phone (rooting etc.) that will likely void your warranty).

Amount of TMo bloatware - Seriously?! This was the reason I get this phone rooted in the first place - to get rid of all those junk apps TMo pre-installs on those phones...

Other Thoughts: This is a great little phone. If you are not afraid of a word "rooting", by all means go for this phone, you'll never regret it.
I bought 5 of those in total this year and maybe buy a couple more as gifts...
