4 out of 5 eggsGood deal for decent a smart phone

Pros: Have SD slot for memory expansion.
Light weight
Just the right sizes not too big like them galaxy S4 or small like the IPhone 5

Cons: Low memory on base phone
T-Mobile only

Other Thoughts: Could been better if the phone is universal for other carriers.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter When Rooted and Link2Sd Enabled

Pros: LTE, Nice display, Well-built, Nice functionality, Easy to root, Can be used on T-Mobile and AT&T networks (after unlocking)

Cons: Too little system memory, Dual-core CPU

Other Thoughts: I'll start my review by including some answers to common questions.

1) Is this phone unlocked? In other words, is it locked to T-Mobile?

It is not unlocked. It is a T-Mobile phone. You can unlock it however. Congress just passed a bill that ensures that carriers must unlock your phone if you no longer have a contract and the phone is yours (you've paid it off). You can call T-Mobile to request it be unlocked. Or... you could Google "How to unlock the T-Mobile LG F6". There are lots of links to instructions and even Youtube videos.

2) Can this phone be used on thAT&T network?

You can use this phone on AT&T. You just have to unlock your phone from T-Mobile. Both carriers Use GSM, HSPA and LTE! Check the frequencies each carrier uses and match them up with the frequencies that this phone operates upon. You'll see that this phone matches up to AT&T quite nicely.

3) Can this phone be used in other countries?

If you pay T-Mobile for International calls and data for the time you are in East Asia, you can call for about $0.20/minute. Be careful to get the plan that fits your needs (calling to US, calling to local landlines in the country, calling cell phones, etc.) My wife and I just went to China and were able to make calls and get 2G data and texting for $0.20/minute.

4) Can this phone be rooted?

I rooted the phone, and added a 32 GB memory card. I formatted the card into 2 partitions; the first is a "FAT32" partition and the second one is a "EXT4" partition. Next, just install the app "Link2Sd" which basically, swaps your paltry 1.2 GB of free system memory with the "EXT4" partition, giving you a much larger "system" memory.

The pro version of Link2Sd is only $2.35 and it gives you the ability to link all of your apps and data to the SD card automagically when you install an app. You can also move the apps that come with the phone, over to the SD card. Just don't try to move the Link2Sd app or any of the Android system apps. You can move apps like Chrome, the Google Play Store app, GMail, etc.

I formatted each partition to 16GB. The FAT32 partition is seen as "external storage". You can store anything you want there (music, movies, pictures) The EXT4 partition holds all of your apps and data.

There's a tool that I used to format the 32 GB SD card called "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition". It's a "Windows" program and is free. If you have a Linux PC, it's even easier, using the partition manager "GParted".

To root the phone, I used "SafeRoot". Just Google it and you'll find instructions on how to use it to free your phone. Once you're rooted, you can delete apps that you don't want taking up space, like some of the T-Mobile apps that come with it.

I was worried when I purchased this phone for my son that it wouldn't have enough memory, but the Link2Sd app really made it a good phone for him. And at only $99.99 from NewEgg, it was a no-brainer! He's very happy with the phone so far. My Nexus 5 is be

5 out of 5 eggs$99 - Nice, light and 4G!

Pros: Got this for my Mom to replace her basic phone. At $99 and loading up the Big Launcher is going to be great for her. The phone is light and the UI is very responsive since I didn't load up much onto it. I have not yet put it onto the T-Mo network as that will be next month when we move from ATT to T-Mo and save ourselves some $$$. The wifi is connecting to my home router at 40Mbps down with no problem.

Cons: None that I can really think of... perhaps it ISN'T $50 cheaper and I can get it for $49 instead of $99? ;-)

5 out of 5 eggsLg f6

Pros: Very good product for the money. If you don't play games and do not want to install many aps you will love it, because reception signal is better than two year old I-phone . Plus it has some extras too...

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsnice phone, incredible value

Pros: Pretty fast full featured phone.

I filled it up with all my apps, and still have 50 MBs free (not a lot, but still good enough).

This phone is amazing, with discounts its only $100 for a 4G LTE phone. Great screen quality, excellent battery life, haven't encountered any issues. Folks worry about the space, but can always move to SD for that if it happens.

Cons: Shame not the quadcore version like the optimus L90

No KitKat yet, still stuck on 4.1 (which is a pretty old android version).

They've released KK in Europe, so should get here soon for this phone.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Battery life on this thing is amazing, it went almost two weeks before reaching 11%. Of course, that is with minimal use, but it is still pretty impressive.

Cons: Not designed for gaming.
Locked for use only with T-Mobile.

Other Thoughts: If you get it on sale, and you are looking for a T-mobile phone upgrade, then this is a reasonable investment.

4 out of 5 eggsGood phone but beware if using as a pre-paid phone

Pros: - Great battery life
- Good feature set
- Price

Cons: - Unless you unlock and use on another carrier beware of hidden charges when using the wifi calling feature of this phone. Wifi calling, using your own access point should be free. T-Mobile charges for airtime whether you are using their cellular network or your own Internet connection. Using this feature will burn through your minutes very quickly.

Other Thoughts: Love the phone ... not the provider.

5 out of 5 eggsFor smartphone hackers, the deal of the century

Pros: Insanely Inexpensive
Highly Capable hardware
LTE-enabled on all North American GSM networks (A, T)
Right-Sized and Lightweight
Powerful enough for all daily tasks

Cons: A unicorn - hard to find on sale
Only a limited variety of custom ROMs (no CM AFAICT)
Gimmicky manufacturer-supplied add-on apps
ROM updates currently being teased, but no sure delivery date
Still wish it came with more internal memory, just in case

Other Thoughts: Got this on sale here, though I recently saw this elsewhere on sale at a big-box store for a Hamilton less than the post-rebate price here (which already got this phone into sub-Franklin range).

If you are well-versed in the ways of rooting Android, managing ClockworkMod, and have a spare 8Gb-or-better MicroSD card at your disposal, then don't walk - instead, RUN - to NewEgg and get this device.

I bought this as a backup device, daily driver, ace-in-the-hole insurance policy in the event something bad ever were to happen to my Nexus 5. Guess what? This thing, properly configured with a properly-partitioned MicroSD card and the Link2SD app, provides 99.5% of the functionality of my N5 at a quarter of the cost. Battery life is better than the N5. LTE is spot-on on the "A" and "T" networks (10 and 18Mbps, respectively, witnessed here). The replaceable battery is a wonderful touch. The lower-res screen is not an issue for me. CPU? I can't really tell a difference in daily operation.

Honestly, the only thing I'm missing with the F6 is the KitKat niceties like swipe-up-for-Google Now, updated lockscreen widgets, and the pano photo capabilities.

I've heard rumors that LG plans to release an updated KitKat 4.4.4 ROM. We'll see about that. Until then, I'm happy as a clam.

What an incredible value!

5 out of 5 eggsBest Phone!!!!!

Pros: -Long Battery Life
-Good Camera (1080p)
-Easy To Use
-WIFI Calling
-Fast snapdragon processor

Cons: -Low Memory
-little out dated OS

Other Thoughts: The memory is just a small problem because you can just buy a micro SD card and move most of the apps to the micro SD card.I myself have a ton of games and etc and there are only 1 or 2 apps that wont go on the SD card.If all your apps don't fit on the phone just root it(easy). The outdated OS is also a small problem as LG has said they are working on upgrading to 4.4 in the next few months.
