3 out of 5 eggsOn Replacement #7 since 02/08

Pros: *cool design
*sound quality - music sounds great (on the current one)
*USB port for recharging
*decent battery life (on the current one)

Cons: have had all kinds of issues with this product. I had it replaced 7 times since the initial purchase in Feb/08. fortunately the current one has been working since beginning of aug/08. some of the replacements didn't even work by the time i received them. still very fragile for a mobile device. volume could be a little louder..especially when commuting by subway or train, it gets drowned out.

Other Thoughts: it's a great device if you get a working product.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: It balances calling and music and sacrifices neither in quality. The music plays as well as a corded device, the microphone is very clear when properly placed, and the display is clear and useful.

Cons: Not good for road trips: it goes to battery save and then you need to re-connect the device to answer the phone. Once paired, connection is easy enough for most circumstances.

Other Thoughts: The buttons take a little getting used to, but it's easy enough. Doesn't take undo babying in bad weather, but is not super-resilient.
If you don't expect it to work after considerable idle time, I would recommend this highly.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother, very unreliable

Pros: Small size. OLED dispoay has good visibility.

Cons: Quirky firmware, for example you have to manually reinitiate the connection everytime you turn it on. Very short batter life, when new would play stereo for barely 2 hours. However, the big problem is that it only operated for a few weeks.

3 out of 5 eggsNot all that worth it

Pros: * Groovy design
* Upward facing headphone jack
* Protected USB port
* Caller ID screen

In web comparisons between this and the Jabra BT3030, I waffled quite a bit, as both looked great. In the end, I went for the Tritton, due to it's sleeker form-factor.

Cons: The Tritton just didn't measure up to my expectations. To skip tracks, you have to hold down the + button for 3 seconds. The caller ID screen is rather useless when it's clipped to you & only shows calls (not music info).
It skipped horribly when there was even a thin wall between myself and the device. Lastly, the construction didn't feel all that solid - it felt as if I were to open it up just a little too much that it would snap in half.

Other Thoughts: I promptly ordered the Jabra BT3030 and did a side by side comparison. The Jabra won in every category, including price. So, back the Tritton goes. Too bad, could have been a great device, were it not for those few details.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Impressive functionality in a small package; caller ID is displayed on clip, so you can leave your phone buried in your bag and still know who is calling; able to simultaneously use different profiles with different pairings (e.g. A2DP to my laptop and headset profile to my phone at same time); can use any headphones you want

Cons: nothing in particular

Other Thoughts: I was able to pair the A2DP profile with my laptop playing music, while simultaneously keeping the headset paired to my phone. When someone called me, the computer was automatically muted and I was switched to the phone. When the call ended, I was switched back. It actually tried to use the AV remote control profile to pause/unpause the music around the call, but I hadn't bothered to configure my laptop right.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: This product is great it is fantastic with a LG UX380 phone.
With the 3.5mm jack I can do anything I could do with my
previous mp3 player.

Cons: Could have more volume it's a little weak on albums with low volume.

3 out of 5 eggsPerfect Idea, poor audio quality

Pros: Does exactly what I'm looking for. Lets me stream my music from my Blackberry with any headphones I want to use (has it's own built in mic- no proprietary headphones!). Also shows caller information and pauses audio for incoming calls as well as lets me control basic audio functions from device (with BB in my pocket or bag). Screen is OLED which is crisp and bright. Price is half of comparable options from Jabra, etc. Has built in Li-Ion battery with good life plus a USB mini jack for charging and firmware upgrades (huge plus I believe).

Cons: Device is a bit chincy. Audio quality is poor and I don't know if this is limited by the Bluetooth transmission speed (i.e. having wav files and 320kbps mp3s naturally being a high KB per second or what) or just this device in particular. My impression in listening to the music on my 4GB Micro SD card is that everything is down converted to transfer and after sounds like 128kbps through the Tritton. Volume doesn't get very loud as well- there's no headroom to get more impact from your music or turn up for louder situations you may be trying to drown out (such as an airport, bus, work, etc).

Other Thoughts: Very innovative and problem solving device, haven't seen much else like it for what it does. Wish they would beef it up more and iron out the little issues then charge more for a solid and reliable product.

1 out of 5 eggsDead

Pros: Deliver great sound when it worked.

Cons: when switching between high quality audio and normal blurtooth the device needed to be turned on and off. After about thirty-five days it stopped working entirely. No lights no sound. Dead.

3 out of 5 eggsNeeds functional buttons

Pros: 1). Compact and light weight belt clip design.
2). Uses standard Mini USB port to charge.

Cons: 1). Hard to read LCD.
2). You have to press "connect" button every time you turn it on.
3). You have to press and hold Play/Pause/Fwd/Rwd buttons to activate action - make using it feel slow and cumbersome.

Other Thoughts: The sound is ok, could be louder. I think there are better products out there if your looking for music remote control functionality. I'm going to try the Jabra BT3030.

4 out of 5 eggsIt broke!

Pros: It works great.

Cons: It broke mysteriously after 2 months of use. I called Tritton Tech support, and they said if it was physically damaged, they wouldn't replace it. It was, so they didn't, although I did nothing to break it.

Other Thoughts: Be careful you don't break it. I thought I only broke the casing, but after that it didn't work at all anymore.
