Samsung Galaxy Black 3G GSM Android unlocked cell phone with 8GB internal memory

Pros: Beautiful screen, Android Market IS fully available, highly functional, and syncs great with any Google account. Very good sound quality, and camera takes decent pictures (if you're looking for a GREAT camera phone, though, this may not meet your standards).

Cons: Wi-fi is flaky (3G is preferred and runs with no problem), touch screen is not as responsive as Iphone or current Galaxy S. Also prepare to purchase a new wall charger; the international adapter does not work, so I have been charging the phone via mini-USB directly to the computer.

Other Thoughts: Overall, for the price, this was an amazing buy. Android 1.5 is not great, but it does excel in comparison to its Apple competitors. Updates ARE available all the way through 2.2; just search the android forums, and there are plenty of ways to root. Considering this phone comes unlocked, and although it is a year old, the price is unbeatable for the screen quality and overall functionality of the device.

Pros: Amoled Screem, Android, 5mp, 2gb

Cons: Android 1.6 - Very instable and buggy SO version. Always rebooting, high battery comsumption and Samsung WILL NOT PROVIDE upgrade to 2.X;

Wireless - Do no stay connected to wi-fi when phone becomes idle, using alot of your 3G accout. It's very bad when you start to download large files.

Samsung Suit Software - Unable to connect to it's own cellphone. Unbelievable, you cannot upgrade your firmware using samsungs software.I had to use Odim!

Keyboard - very very slow, if you type to fast, some character will be lost. Don't native multi-language support.

Other Thoughts: If I were you I'd go iPhone

Pros: Great concept. Sharp screen.

Cons: The Samsung New PC Studio software that comes with this phone doesn't support this device. This means that you can't update the firmware or anything else on the phone. This phone didn't even come with the Android market app installed, which is one of the best features of the Android system. Samsung is doing nothing to fix this problem. The company that Newegg purchases these from is no help at all. They want to charge a service fee for upgrade with should be free from the NPS program.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the money. Wait for the actual Google phone to be released in Jan or Feb sometime.

Pros: Great display, Okay Call quality. Third party apps are good (if you can get the market installed).

Cons: This phone is unlocked, but didn't come with the android market app like EVERY other phone. You can't return this phone to newegg until you call the company that sold it to them. The company told me that they would put it on there for a fee.
Not only that, you can't install firmware updates because the software that samsung bundles it with is garbage, so the only way to install updates is to use a third party program called Odin, or send it to the company newegg bought it from and they will do it (for a fee).
There are rumors that Samsung is not going to release android 1.6 or 2.0 for this phone. You can't get Over-The-Air updates with this phone because it is not a true "Google Experience" phone like the HTC phones.
This phone is not as fast as the iPhone. My wifes iPhone smokes this thing, but hers can't have widgets. I think that the processor is a bit too slow for the android system.

Other Thoughts: I would get different phone if I could do it over again. I would get the Acer 1Ghz phone that's coming out or maybe the Droid. Do some poking around at some web sites before buying this thing, and remember, this is a lot of money for a phone. Make sure it's what you want.

Pros: android+capacity screen+oled+ loud speakers+ tmobile 3g U.S.! ( it works i've tested with tmobile ).

Popped in a 16gb microsdhc + 8gb internal for a total of 24Ggb.

Cons: price.

Other Thoughts: need more unlocked phones with tmobile 3g feq. ( upcoming nokia n900 is another one of these phones
