2 out of 5 eggsQuestionable 3g on AT&T

Pros: Pros include Pure Google, good screen, decent build. Immediate updates. No crapware (ala Blur and all that junk that slows everything down).

Cons: Camera is a joke. No HD video in 2011? Really guys? Screen resolution is poor compared to the Atrix. Screen is a fingerprint magnet (really bad). Battery life is ok with 1500 mAh, but it's no Atrix battery. The Nexus S processor struggles with Slingplayer over 3g, my Atrix does not. No fingerprint reader unlock (trust me, that is NO gimmick..it's wonderful on the Atrix). No "side tone" on the earpiece. This is essential to quality call audio, IMO.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted to love this phone. I am on AT&T and previously had iPhones, etc, but my most recent phone was the Nexus One w/AT&T 3g bands. I loved most everything about it. Sold it for the Atrix. Liked the Atrix but missed the pure google experience. Got the Nexus S from Newegg.

This is when very strange things started happening. My AT&T 3g signal was illuminated, but speeds were like 250kbs for download. Definitely not 3g. Waited a while and speeds slowly creeped to about 1mbps, but very inconsistently. I received many "signal loss" notifications over the course of a day. In the end, I realize this is the Canadian version that's compatible with AT&T's 3g network, but there is something funny going on with how it handshakes with AT&T's 3g network. It just wasn't reliable.

Returned it and went back to my Atrix. All is High Definition (screen and camcorder) and all good now. Plus H+ is very fast. If the Nexus S had better specs, I'd be the biggest fanboy...one day.

1 out of 5 eggsNOT a T-Mobile model

Pros: Nice, fast and white.

Cons: Newegg gave me an AT&T phone instead of a T-Mobile.
FCC ID i9020T for T-Mobile, i9020A is for AT&T.

Other Thoughts: Either they made the wrong shipment or they made the biggest mistake on their site.
