5 out of 5 eggsBeware of the NewEgg Protection Plan

Pros: Size, Speed, Camera - I absolutely love this phone, and it's hard to be without it for so long while it's being repaired (for a cracked screen), via Newegg's Protection Plan.

Cons: Newegg Protection Plan is horrible. I was without my phone for several weeks, due to the fact that the servicing company "didn't have the necessary part" to fix the phone, and they had to send it to the manufacturer for repair. In the meantime, if you don't have a spare phone lying around, you're forced to purchase another phone to use while you endure the endless wait for your own phone.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth waiting for

Pros: 1. Yes, this phone is the "unicorn" it has wireless charging and 32 GB of memory, it is the Latin American version (you'll be prompted to select the correct language when the phone starts up first time). It can run on Tmobile
2. Yes this phone is about as large as your face, I literally just held it up and it's forehead-to-chin big... like HUGE!
3. Yes it has the Cyan update so it now runs flawlessly with its own version of swype and includes Cortana.

Now on to my personal experiences (you can skip this if you are bored by the thought of actually understanding what you're buying)
I've owned this for about a month and I have to say one thing stands out about this phone above my sliding keyboard android, and really any phone I've been around. 'OLY BUTTERY BISCUIT-SAINTS does this phone have a great battery, I mean daaaaaang. I use the phone for work, google hangouts (Using IM+ to run it), gmail, google/microsoft synced calenders, looking stuff up, pdfs, word documents, OneNote, excel... youtube videos... blah blah blah I'd say I'm about a medium user. and I ended yesterday with 65% battery. A battery app says it burns about 3% battery an hour when I'm actually using it (6-7% if I'm watching a video)... I'm no mathematician, who am I kidding I'm pretty great at math, but no one cares so I'll just say, the battery in this phone beats out any other feature hands down. (DISCLAIMER: The phone took about 2 weeks to get to this state, battery was only about 24 hours when I first got it, you have to break the phone in).
Moving on from my long battery rant, and really I can't say enough about it, the next best feature is the screen (especially the glance feature, look it up), the screen is bright and beautiful and after updates does eliminate that tapping issue when scrolling (if you researched the phone at all you'd know what I'm talking about). Everything is crystal clear and OH MY GARSH did I forget to mention the camera??? Well I'm not going to mention it in anything more than an afterthought, there's stuff to say but not a whole lot (A tiny bit more on that below).
So lets get down to the itty bitty, nitty gritty details and other cute words. This means the camera, and notable features. The camera is perfect, 20mp is honestly as far as we should go before entering a niche crowd, the afterfocus and live pictures and stuff is all gimmicky, and it's really neat and all, but I honestly don't use them. That's really all I have to say, you can check out videos on it, they really play up the features so I can only say so much.
The double-tap to start is great and works 88% of the time, sometimes you're fingers are too slimy or whatever, I won't judge.
Heck what can I say more, the phone is essentially perfect at this point, it's lighter than my battery-pack android by a few grams and it's faster too. I recommend getting a case, choose whatever makes you happy, I bought a wallet-case. try not to drop it because it's essentially a plate

Cons: No cons really. I haven't actually found the Microsoft apps lacking at all so no complaints, it's a happy move away from android. I guess if you hate big screens you're stupid for looking at this online, just go to a store and laugh for a moment and leave.

Other Thoughts: Describing the operating system, I'll be honest, I bought this phone solely because Android is boring and all of it is exactly the same, whereas Microsoft is alienating their original userbase and flipping the bird while doing so. I love Microsoft's unforgivingly perfect new operating system, they found out everyone hates tiles, so rather then eliminating them, they made them awesome and now everyone is like "ooh pretty". Everything is oily-smooth and silky and if an app crashes (which lets be honest is really rare), the app will not freeze the phone, it'll close and you can just start it back up, wow such hassle, it's almost like it's 1000 TIMES BETTER THAN ANDROID WITH HOW EVERYTHING FALLS APART WHEN ONE PROGRAM HAS A PROBLEM. I'm just venting. Either way, Microsoft got it right, everything is optimized and it just helps the beautiful big battery. I bought this for $495 when it was on sale, I'd wait for the sale to come back, unless your wallet burns your money out of it every 24 hours and you just HAVE to spend it. I hope my review was useful, it feels like I just ranted for the last half hour. Anyway, if you now hate Android/Apple OS, or you're looking to stand out in a crowd, or you just like things that are pretty then I highly recommend this, take the plunge next time a sale rolls around. Also the 1525 will be coming out soonish, maybe wait for that if you're a patient person.

5 out of 5 eggsI may have gotten the last one-could not be happier

Pros: I literally just got this yesterday but having used Windows Phone for a few years now I knew my way around the device. I upgraded from a L925 and wow this thing is huge. After picking up my L925 to make sure I was moving over the right things, it felt like a little kid's toy (I cant even imagine the even smaller iPhone 5s or worse the 4s).
Screen is lovely, worked with T-mobile right out of the box, just needed to get a nano-sim. Did have to configure the mms APN so I would get picture messages, but no hassle otherwise. 32gb storage, SD card support, built in QI wireless charging and 20mp camera are just some of the highlights. This also already has the update to 8.1 and cyan available for download/install right out of the box as well. Couldn't be happier

Cons: Can no longer text with one hand...haha

Other Thoughts: Purchased this last week with standard shipping and it arrived a day before it was supposed to and very well wrapped! Also got it on here when they had the promotion and it came out to 494.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome phone (BUT I would not recommend upgrading to Windows Phone 8.1 beta)

Pros: - Super awesome phone
- Camera is awesome

Cons: - none for the phone so far, but some for Windows Phone 8.1

Other Thoughts: - I would not recommend installing Windows Phone 8.1 beta. The first 2 months i got this phone i was doing fine i with WP8 but then i joined the developer community and installed WP8.1 on it. It is kinda buggy somehow. For example, more than half the time, when i come home, my wi-fi doesnt connect automatically anymore (even at work). If i want to use wi-fi at my own home, i have to restart it every time. I have yet to find a solution to this permanently.

- One more problem i have with WP8.1 beta is sometimes the screen just become unresponsive and the only way to get around this is to restart the phone. But wait, how can you shut down the phone if the screen is upresponsive? You have to hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Then it restarts.

- One Last problem with WP8.1 beta, once you upgraded to it, you cannot go back to WP8. lol Sucks for me

- Some pros for WP8.1 are Cortana, notification bar, ability to change background to any image you want, and remote desktop functionalily (it's pretty cool to access my desktop from my phone.
im sure there are a lot more WP8.1 is capable of, but these are the ones i can thing of right now.

- Overall, this is an amazing phone but Microsoft gotta keep it up a bit and release the full blown WP8.1 already.

- Other thoughts, i wish a lot more people would start developing for WP.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat phone--shaky delivery

Pros: After six year of carrying Android phones, I was itching for a change of pace, but nothing from the Windows Phone line-up available for T-Mobile enticed me. This phone changed that. This version (Lumia 1520.3/RM-938) is intended for the Latin American market. The by product of that is that it operates on all the bands required to make it a perfect fit for T-Mobile (and AT&T as well). Obviously, a person has to like BIG phones to be comfortable with this, but I do and I am. I immediately upgraded to the Developer's Preview of WP8.1, and it's a game changer as far as bringing the operating system closer to IOS and Android. It looks great and performs well.

Cons: The only thing at this point would be that Windows Phone is lacking in some of the apps available to iOS and Android users, but it's come a long way and I've found just about everything I use on a regular basis.

Other Thoughts: The order handling on this was less than satisfactory. I ordered on a Thursday with two-day shipping. It didn't leave the warehouse until Monday, and it went ground. I wasn't in my hands until the following Thursday. I did find a sympathetic CSA from NewEgg who refunded my shipping charges.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolute Top Phone!

Pros: After purchasing the AT&T version of this phone, I realized that I just *could not* live without Qi wireless charging. So I purchased this phone and am selling the AT&T version of this.

I've been using this for a few days, on AT&T, and all I can say is *wow*. I had to modify the APN settings on the phone, but it's working beautifully. I have LTE service, with just under 30Mb/s download speed, as well as Qi wireless charging.

If you can afford to purchase this phone outside of contract, then this is the best you're going to get (if you can handle the size, that is).

Cons: None, if you can handle the large screen!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Windows Phone for TMobile

Pros: Has the TMobile LTE bands
Comes unlocked
32 GB memory
Great Camera
The camera shoots also RAW since Windows Black
Large screen for browsing but not unyielding

Cons: Had to wait several months after the official release to get the TMobile compatible variant
Windows Phone does not support the Chrome browser (not really a phone issue, rather the OS)

Other Thoughts: Great phone for browsing the internet and watching videos. The moden CPU makes it snappy. The camera is wonderful. I wish DXO would support the Nokia DNG files (I have to use photoshop to process the raw images)
